Stayed here for about 5 nights. The staff was helpful and nice, location was good and we walked to almost all of our sightseeing. The rooms were clean and nice. We ate breakfast here a couple of times and it was okay. It was a cozy, small hotel witch I recommend !

This is a good place to sleep if you're looking for an economical stay in Paris, well situated (close to Metro) and about 20 - 30 minute walk to Sacre Coeur. However, if you,re looking for more amenities such air conditioning, a comfortable bed; pay the extra money if you can. On our first night, we were given a tiny...

I wish I liked this hotel better than I did. We were on the first floor and, as others have said, it was pretty stuffy. Our tiny bathroom had no tub, only a shower, and it was awkwardly designed so that it was hard to close the bathroom door and easy to stub one's foot on the shower edge. Neither...

The Hotel Chopin is not "average." It is both amazing and uncomfortable. It is charming, well located, and quiet. The rooms feel quaint and traditional. But they are super small, and very stuffy. We stayed on the 2nd floor, and had to keep the bathroom window closed when we were gone and while we slept, because someone could have entered...

Hotel Chopin is the answer if you are looking for a safe, clean, reasonably priced hotel in Paris. Expect rooms to be smaller in size, compared to hotels in the US and Canada. Near the famous Grevin Museum in the Passage Jouffroy- a historical edifice with numerous shops. Hotel staff are courteous and efficient. English is spoken at the front...

We loved the Hotel Chopin. Stayed there 3 nights in early June. The hotel has some funky sides (well, it is almost a time-warp, as a matter of fact) but you cannot beat its magnificent location -the historical Passage Jouffroy with its own entrance. The room's decor is from another time, the bathroom was small and oddly appointed, but everything...

We stayed from 5-9 June 2014 We reached hotel before 10am after over 16 hours flight. We got in a triple classic room (207) in 15 minutes. Room is clean and amenities replenished everyday. 207 has only shower, no bathtub. We can feel the housekeeping really did their job well, bedspread changed 3 times which was the surprise for us,...

A simple but charming hotel in the heart of Paris. The good: • Very charming, small hotel, in a beautiful old passage. • The location: just off Boulevard Montmatre, 2 minutes from the metro, a ten minute walk north of Palais Royal. Close to many restaurants. • The rates: about 100-120 Euros / night, a very reasonable price for Paris....

Yes, european hotels are very tiny compared to the great expanse of US counterparts. But we couldn't have asked for any more value than we received during our 8 day stay at Hotel Chopin. Clean and quaint and wonderful for us. All the desk clerks were top notch and of course spoke english. Location was great. the only word of...

We were in Paris from the US for the first time - for 11 nights - for our 5 year anniversary. We spent a lot of time finding a hotel when we planned our trip. There are soooo many hotels in Paris - in all the different regions of Paris. We did not go wrong at all when we picked...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
