I have been staying at this hotel for the last 25 years and I have never been disappointed. It was in the days before it had an elevator ! It is in the bohemian style with wonderfully welcoming people. You step out of time. Breakfast is great and at 9€ a steal. It is right across from the City Hall...

The location of this hotel is very convenient if you like to walk everywhere you go. The hotel itself has very small rooms. The bed was comfortable. The noise from the street (Rue de Rivoli) was not disturbing. Breakfast was very basic and I'd recommend using the area around the hotel for breakfast instead. Overall, a nice stay - mainly...

We stayed just 2 nights at the Hotel de Nice, I would have liked to stay longer. The location is perfect. Many cafes and restaurants just outside the door as well as an interesting blues club very close by. The metro stop is conveniently close, but many top sites are also just a short walk. We walked to the Louvre,...

Quirky hotel in a great location with lots of bars and restaurants around it. Lady at reception was very helpful and friendly. Room was small but nicely decorated, colourful and clean. I would not recommend to include continental breakfast though because it was consisting only of a croissant and a baguette with some butter and jelly - very French indeed...

I chose this hotel from the online photos, seeing it as quirky, colorful and full of personality. Well, it didn't disappoint in either respect. It was even better than imagined. The decor was lovely and the colors rich. The wardrobe in our room was even covered in the same red patterned wallpaper as the walls and the room was decorated...

I stayed at the Hotel de Nice in Paris in late June 2015 for two nights. I was travelling with a group of nine friends, and we occupied three separate rooms at the hotel, each of which was uniquely decorated and laid out. As a first-time traveler to Paris, the Hotel de Nice fulfilled all my expectations of what a...

We found this hotel accidentally while in Paris, when we were ready to change our accommodation, and could not be happier. This place has Parisian look and feel and is absolutely charming – huge mirror at the entrance, spiral staircase (and an elevator), quiet salon next to reception area, scarlet (is that the color?) wall paper, vintage illustrations on the...

It is an old and simple hotel, whose decoration tries to appear more classical, but in reality it is old and poorly maintained. the strong point is the location, 3 metro stations from the Louvre. The fare is 90 euros in winter. Moreover, almost nothing pleases. The bathroom is poorly organized and you can not take foot bath, just sitting....

Just lovely and romantic! Perfect for a young couple. Right in the heart of the city center and close to Notre Dam. The hotel decoration is just amazing, full of paintings and old stuff. Loved it! I strongly recommend it!

Quaint little boutique hotel, in the right location at the right price. We had one night in Paris on the way back home and wanted something close to Notre Dame. The price was right. Less than 100€ for this neighbourhood is an incredible deal. We were pretty much a ten minute walk to the Cathedral and other tourist attractions. A...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
