We had a lovely 4-night stay at La Belle Juliette. The hotel is beautiful and tastefully decorated, and our room was a good size (by Paris standards), well organized and updated with many conveniences. The staff was charming, helpful and friendly. The location is perfect for exploring the Left Bank, and while we preferred to explore on foot, there are...

We have just spent 5 nights in Paris at the delightful Hotel La Belle Juliette. It is an extremely well presented hotel in a quiet street with cafes, boutiques and restaurants in walking distance. We were also able to walk to the Luxemburg Gardens, the Louvre, the Marais, the Musee dórsay and any other places to needed to visit. WE...

We ended up staying at La Belle Juliette after much debate. Here's a few things for folks to consider when staying here: Hotel: It is a gorgeous hotel. All other reviews pretty much tell it like it is. Pricey but comfortable, beautiful decor, lovely staff, incredibly clean. And location, location, location- more on that later. Breakfast: If you sign up...

My wife & I stayed for a weekend in May & had a wonderful time. The staff were very helpful; the hotel itself is in a nice location (within a 20 min stroll to central Paris, metro stop 5 min away). They recommended a modern French restaurant on the same street as the hotel, which had a relaxed atmosphere &...

My wife and I stayed two nights at this hotel recently. It aspires to be a hip hotel. It is colorfully decorated. The street it is on is okay, nothing great. Our room was standard size for what one would expect in Paris, i.e., on the small side, but nicely decorated and with its own iMac. The staff was helpful...

Jen took me here a surprise birthday present.Gorgeous boutique hotel with small but beautifully decorated rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the small health spa is fantastic. Good location as is away from the tourist traps if thats what you are looking for with some good French restaurants where the local parisians eat. We will defiantly go again.

My daughter and I stayed at La Belle Juliette for two nights and we loved it! The hotel is in a lovely street, the perfect location for us to walk up over the Seine and explore Paris. Our room was clean and very chic as was the décor over the whole hotel. The staff could not have been more friendly...

We stayed here at the end of a week's travel in the countryside. It was difficult to find a hotel in the neighborhood I wanted to stay in and La Belle Juliette was one of the few available at the time I was planning our trip. I sensed it might be closer to Blvd Montparnasse than I wanted, and it...

The construction noise begins at about 7.15 am so do be prepared. I stayed there during the week on a business trip so it was not a problem for me but if you are planning to sleep in please be forewarned: you won't be able to do so here. The hotel is gorgeous with lots of colors, a charming location...

I can't say enough good things about La Belle Juliette. First, the rooms are as beautifully decorated as the brochure implies - lovely colors, lots of pretty moldings and big, breezy windows that open wide. And the staff was as helpful and friendly as the hotel was beautiful. I arrived early in the morning -and was lucky enough to find...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
La Belle Juliette. The discreet luxury of a four-star hotel and the charm of an address that visitors and Parisians will give to their most demanding, cultured friends. In the pure Parisian tradition of Saint-Germain-des-Pres, the hotel is guided by a modern vision of romanticism and urban conviviality. Exceptional service with particular attention to hospitality, guests' well-being, calm and tranquility... All in the heart of bustling Saint Germain. Corinne and Pascal Moncelli, the owners of the hotel, have decided to breathe new life into an establishment that had been left to abandon on the rue du Cherche-Midi by telling the story - or rather stories - of a famous historical personality. This star of her time lived in the 19th century, frequented all the intellectuals and politicians of the era, was blessed with exceptional beauty, had an extraordinary love life and - above all - excelled in the art of receiving. The popular literary salon that she organised from the tender age of 15 attracted the greatest minds of the time and continued until her death, age 72! It is Juliette Recamier - famously known as La Belle Juliette - who gives her name to this new hotel. ... more   less
