I was recommended to this hotel from my brother, who stays often. I am more of a Westin/Lowes hotel type, but he promised me that this hotel would give me more of a Parisian feel and provide more personal attention to my need of understanding Paris (what to do, where to go, tips for the best times, restaurants, what to...

We loved our stay at Hotel de Vendome. We were upgraded on arrival and more importantly helped to find a luggage repair shop for our damaged suitcase. All the staff were very helpful and had a sense of humor which made our stay even more enjoyable. Our room was full of light and very comfortable. We also liked that we...

This review came about 4 weeks late but now it is here. A five star hotel would call their customers to let them know that their room is ready. A five star hotel would have more than one doorman to attend the front of the hotel. A five star hotel would have a nice reception/lobby area not just a dirty...

This hotel is a small boutique hotel with excellently appointed rooms. It is located right on the corner of Place Vendome and is walking distance to most anything, The Louvre, Musey D'orsay, the River cruises, the shops, most anything. There are restaurants all over the place and the front desk has excellent recommendations. The hotel was very accommodating to any...

Stayed two nights in this small luxury hotel on the corner of Place Vendôme and rue de Castligione. It goes without saying that the location cannot be beaten; this small 5* offers most of the the big palaces' amenities without the hassle. Great Bar/restaurant, very comfortable rooms. Two things truly impressed me: - Incredibly accommodating and helpful front desk staff...

The hotel is a boutique hotel with only 29 rooms, which makes for individual attention. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in 1723 by Pierre Perrin, the Sun King's secretary, this elegant building was in turn a private residence and a seat of government, then in 1842 the embassy of the young Republic of Texas whose independence France was the first to recognise. The square is named from the fact that n°1 was the site of the former Vendome family residence. Three centuries of art, culture and elegance make it a unique address in Paris. Today the place Vendome is the temple of Parisian jewellery, and gives onto Paris's most brilliant quartier, with its haute couture, antique dealers, art galleries, the Opera and the Louvre museum. The Hotel de Vendome is thus a unique jewel, on a par with all the precious stones in the vicinity. ... more   less
