Excellent location , great 'external view. The rest needs a lot of work: - too expensive for what you get - very very small room, not really for a king size bed. Walls were 40 cm from each side of the bed! - noisy due to a massive aircon unit juts outside (used for the tube?) - in need for...

The manager's response to my review of 7 August seems to suggest that one should not mind paying 650 Euro for the privilege of staying in a hotel built in 1855. This notion needs a radical change! While time may add to the importance of museums and other old monuments, hotels do not gain by it unless they are completely...

The Hotel du Louvre has great charm, a friendly but unpolished front desk staff, and a truly ideal location if you enjoy being in the center of the action. Our second floor room was small but clean with a modern bath and, most extraordinary, a view directly into the windows of The Louvre across the street. We did have some...

We stayed here in October 2013 for 5 days,on our arrival we were told we had an upgrade to a view room. The room was small, had broken tiles in the bathroom, large chips off paint work all this in a $500 a night room. It was terrible plus our room was never serviced before 2.30pm everyday. We asked to be...

How this hotel ever got a 5 star rating is a miracle. The room was tiny, the bathroom was dark, dingy and worse than most 3 star places I have visited. The view from the only small window was of a dark center yard. The room dark and depressing. You needed to keep the light on during the day otherwise it...

I stayed there in August, just as the heat subsided. Air conditioning was perfect, as was the staff. Room was superbly clean, I had a great view. Loved my time at the Hotel du Louvre. It is a little pricey for the old cheapskate I am, but it is worth being so close to the Louvre itself. Easy walk to...

To cities like Paris which I make frequent visits I tend to change hotels, thus to experience locations in this city where there is no real town center, and helps to recall trips in my memory. I checked into this respectable grande dame of hotels in Paris for its location as well as its bygone Parisian charm. The spiral staircase...

As my title says for me while in Paris its all about the location as all hotels (at least the 5 star variety) will cost more then most would believe as reasonably possible. However, crazy costs aside you simply can't beat the location of this hotel. This fact coupled with an amazing staff make this hotel a perennial favorite of...

Spectacularly convenient location for tourists .We stayed for three nights, two of which were free through Hyatt awards,so I cannot give a fair rating for value.
