My sister and I spent several days at Grand Hotel Malher in October 2016.. We had a small, but very comfortable, twin room on the first floor. The location is excellent....just steps away from St Paul Metro....which allowed us to walk to nearly everything we wanted to see. The staff was friendly and very professional. My only suggestion is to... More

This lovely, small hotel, is located in the Mareis district. The rooms were pleasant, and the price reasonable. Most importantly, the staff was extremely helpful, particularly Michael. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted an authentic stay in Paris as opposed to the rather sterile commercial hotels.

We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and were attended to by a very competent manager and most of the staff. One should point out that the manager is the man to deal with if there are problems and he could not be more helpful and generous as we had to change rooms and he even provided a refund... More

After much research decided on Le marais area of Paris and was not disappointed with either the hotel or its location. Clean, comfortable, quiet adequate hotel, nothing flash but all that was required after exhausting sightseeing every day. Breakfast consisted of yoghurt, bread, croissant, butter, jams and coffe or tea, so if you're after a hearty breakfast best go out.... More

We made the reservation at this hotel direct with their website as it was sold out on Booking.com. The price was lower so it was a good deal. We booked a triple room even though there are only two of us because we're accustomed to the very small European hotel rooms and wanted more space. The Triple room was great... More

Comfortable stay, very friendly staff and close to the St Paul metro in lovely Le Marais. The room was clean and comfortable. Good value for money. Would have liked coffee making facilities in the room though.

The location is great! Everything is close by and there is also a Metro station 2-3 minutes from the hotel to reach furhter away places. The hotel rooms are still very quiet, so you will sleep perfectly. The staff was very helpul with special requests! I would go there anytime again.

This is a fabulous small hotel which is located very close to St Paul metro. As far as I'm concerned you couldn't find a hotel in a better location. You can walk to many restaurants, shops, bars and of course a couple of the main attractions of Paris (the Louvre,Tuileries Garden and Notre Dame). To be honest you can also... More

Great room with a double bed and pull out coach for the me and my two teenage girls. Very comfortable beds. Great location! Helpful staff. The only down side is no AC but with all the windows open this was not a problem (quiet on the internal courtyard).

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
