This hotel is very good value and in a great location near Place des Vosges in the beautiful Marais-walking distance to Notre Dame, left bank, and easy Metro access to everywhere else.Room was small but quiet and clean. Breakfast was good with the exception of the coffee(tasted boiled), but there are plenty of cafes in the area for a good...

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights on our last trip to Paris, and loved it! If you are not looking for big hotel comforts, and like to go for a smaller hotel with some charm, then Hotel Jeanne d'Arc is perfect. We stayed in room 12, which was on the second (for north americans, first for the French)...

May I start by saying this is now my favourite hotel in Paris? It's not the best, for sure, but if you're looking for a not-too-expensive well located hotel which still manages to be charming and atmospheric, then look no further. The location is wonderful. I particularly like the area (Le Marais) itself - galleries, restaurants, bars, shops, historic streets,...

My husband and I stayed here in Dec 2001 - what a charming place. We were able to walk to Bastille and St. Paul Metro. Lots of wonderful places to eat and shop nearby. Staff was helpful and friendly. They had a hairdryer I could use, because I didn't pack my own. We stayed on the top floor and the...

If you are looking for a small friendly nice hotel with character in a great location in Paris this is it. Stayed here last month. It's in the Marais-4th arr. Easy walking distance to the Bastille, Place Des Vosges, Musee Carnavelet, restaurants, cafes. Saint Paul metro station is close by. Staff is pleasant. Very little street noise from the room....

To stay at Hotel Jeanne-d'Arc is like staying at home with my family. Le Marais (IVe) is the oldest part of Paris (Lutecia). I can walk safely in any street of the area and feel free to talk to people. The hotel is close to many charming boutiques, historical places, and dozens of different great restaurants. I specially enjoy the...

Just off saint paul metro within walking distance to le marais restaurants and bars; lovely place st catherine round the corner and place vosges within walking distance, yet still v quiet; the staff couldn't have been nicer; having said all this, the rooms are small especially the shower cubicles hence not ideal for everyone or else be patient!

We stayed here in the summer of 2009 and it was fabulous! The hotel is historical but our room had a completely renovated awesomely modern bathroom with a great shower (bring your own shampoo, as I recall there was only one travel size for our whole stay, but, who cares!). Best of all, the room (which was on the main...

My sister, niece and I stayed here in 2001 based on a recommendation from a friend living in London. We loved our garret room on the top floor and the plain as you please service. I've recommended it several times since and have had many family members and friends stay here.

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
