back in Costes. Amazing rooms, perfect people. Place to see and be seen. A trendy restaurant, a fancy bar, a good spa, and a concept all about pleasures, music, senses. Don't stay there if you are a business traveler, stay there if you are a person who lives, smells, feels what life is all about. SInce the moment you cross...

Admittedly my familiarity with Hotel Costes began from the mouth of Edina Monsoon on the BBC show Absolutely Fabulous, and in one episode she drags her daughter to have lunch in the famed courtyard, where they eat well and spot Stella McCartney. My friends and I opted to have drinks in their bar instead. We were not disappointed. I recommend...

Basically, it is a velvet-draped, gilt encrusted rococo bordello that smells like cinnamon and cigarettes and flickering candles. The girls in the basement grotto wear flipflops even when it's snowing. When you are there it feels ridiculous to get up before 2pm. My room was the size of an attic but it had a claw foot bathtub the size of...

this is Hotel Costes Bar Review: 25eur drinks not including tip. If I want to play nice American and tip that's about $40 a drink. Let's just say if I lived in Paris I would not really come here, but if I visit Paris once every 2-3yrs I wouldn't mind stopping by. The ambiance is very good, the care with...

This hotel really is fantastic. It has the feel of a very good British boutique hotel but with a French class that put its it in a league of its own. If you're looking for somewhere to impress/reward/make love to your partner, this is the place. Great for celeb spotting, tripping distance from the Champs Élysées, Eiffel Tower, Place Concorde,...

I've been staying here for years. It's not cheap. There are other options in Paris. But somehow Monsieur Costes (who can occasionally be found in the lobby and is very affable) and his team of genetically perfect staff still come up trumps. I hesitate to write much about it as I don't want to increase competition for the rooms, but...

This used to be the place to be seen in Paris. The bar is uber cool and full of beautiful people with uber egos and chequebooks to match. Tres chic but tres expensive. Still cool? No idea.....which means this wasn't really the place for me!

This review is well overdue and I'm sorry I haven't written sooner. Sometimes we take for granted the good places and spend time complaining about the bad. The hotel management and staff have thought of absolutely everything to make one's stay perfect. You notice that the second you arrive. Small detail, which I have not seen anywhere else -- the...
