Louvre / Palais-Royal
From the majestic Louvre to the regal Palais-Royal, this neighbourhood oozes luxury. The grand arches along Rue de Rivoli are shadowed by mosaics in front of decorated vitrines and hotels. Place Vendôme is lined with the world’s best jewelers and their glittering window displays. Every other establishment has someone to open the door for you or park your car. You can spend hours gazing at its haute couture shops or lingering over a meal at any of its chic eateries. After all that indulgence, the Tuileries gardens provide stately respite, while theatres compete for your applause. It's a neighbourhood that draws admirers from around the world, all attracted to the luxe life in Paris.

Costes is an overrated, waste of time. We’ve stayed at, and frequently some of the world’s best hotels (Peninsula Hong Kong, Four Seasons around the word etc.) and I’ve never seen staff treat the public in this manner.

While not guests, we attempted to have drinks at Costes (as

One can not feel herself as a customer taking service there. As there are lots of people coming they take the customers granted. They refused to seat us till all our other friends come although we had the reservation. Very bad attitude towards customers

This is the second time we have visited this oh so very chic hotel for lunch
If you don't like the smell of cigarettes make sure you sit away from the inner courtyard where seemingly everyone here smokes - and if you don't like the smell but desperately need to be 'seen' then by

The location and the hotel itself remain superb, seductive and stylish. However, the restaurant and the food it now serves is an abomination.
We ordered two cocktails whilst we read the menu. My friend ordered a Pisco Sour - which was sweet. I ordered an Oyster Mary, which was

We arrived around 23:00 Monday, Nov 5th and wanted to have a drink and dessert. Although there were 20 empty tables being a Monday evening the hostess showed us the lobby seats saying we could not sit in the patio as we were not going to dine. We would have sat alone in the lobb

Do I need to make a reservation to have drinks at the bar? I will be there during fashion week so I’m nervous
When I visited in the summer it was men’s fashion week so it was relatively busy at the hotel. In the evenings there was always a line to get in. Due to the fact that we were hotel guests we were able to get a table whenever we wanted, but I would definitely try to get a reservation to be sure. Especially at night when it gets pretty crowded. Daytime is easier but the scene is obviously better at night. Hope this helps and good luck !

Hi deniseguelli, can you eat at the restaurant without staying there?
Yes you can, although it's much harder to get a booking at the restaurant during peak times if they don't know you or you are staying at the hotel. And James S: it's a hotel, not a restaurant. This listing is for Hotel Costes, not the restaurant called Costes.
