I didn't stay here or know about this (apparently exclusive) hotel in advance. I was just strolling through the arcades of the place des Vosges past the art galleries, glimpsed greenery through glass doors, and was curious to see the courtyard. I didn't even realize that I was wandering into a hotel. I don't happen to like the crowded, noisy...

My husband and I just spent 8 wonderful nights at this gem of a hotel. The only thing that surpassed the accommodations was the wonderful staff. We enjoyed a delightful breakfast, and evening wine or cocktails there each day. Shopping, cafes and museums are all close by. We adventured out for our morning walks and visited sights like Notre Dame,...

Located in the Place des Vosges, there is no way to improve on the accessibility to the Marais as well as so many of the interesting venues and shopping areas of Paris. Whether well reviewed restaurants or hipster cafes, there are endless possibilities for first rate dining and laid back people watching. We stayed in an attractive one bedroom suite,...

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Pavillon de la Reine. The location is excellent - walking distance to many attractions and an easy walk to the metro for the others. We stayed in the "family room" suite with 2 bedrooms, a living room, and two WC's with showers plus a bathroom. Our beautiful suite was clean, quiet, luxurious...

We have now stayed several times at Pavillon de La Reine and once again we enjoyed a really good experience. We were given a fabulous room over the courtyard (an upgrade) which was very quiet and spacious with a very big bathroom. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The location in Paris is perfect for us - we love...

Set back from the main Place de Vosges and accessed through its own small courtyard, the arrival is charming. The entrance foyer is open to the left and right showing armchair'd and sofa'd seating areas, creating a warm and welcoming arrival. Our deluxe double was actually a duplex on the top (4th) floor, with a comfortable living area downstairs and,...

We had a very enjoyable two nights staying at the hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room whilst small was very well appointed and the bed was particularly comfortable. The hotel is on the Place des Vosges which is a lovely small historic square which has a real buzz to it including a few cafes. The...

We arrived early morning after a night flight and they accommodate us with a room within 30 min, even without us asking for it ! The breakfast is delicious, with high quality product, very helpful and discrete staff. The location is perfect, a little quiet gem hidden in a vibrant environment, full of history. I highly recommend it and we...

Cheap it ain't, the pavillon de la reine. That said, I cannot say enough good things about Le Pavillon de la Reine. This is the BEST hotel I have ever stayed in. I worked briefly at the Plaza Hotel in NYC, and I know something about what it takes to make a luxury historic hotel work. And the folks here...

I have been to Paris 5 times, and like to stay in different areas. This was the best location to date. The courtyard it is set in is beautiful, the lobby lush and gorgeous, with Place Des Vosges just across the street. I cannot even begin to tell you how good the breakfast buffet was ( i am pregnant so I...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
