I just returned for staying at this hotel and it was great .I booked a deluxe room on a high floor . The room was very cute but on the small side .the bed was too small for two people but we loved the room . The staff here were wonderful. Very friendly with no judgement of the "loud Americans...

While the staff of the Hotel Montalembert was warm and welcoming, the hotel did not meet our expectations. The room was worn, the bed uncomfortable and for a deluxe room, very small. It was also very, very hot in the room and we could not adjust the temperature. The bathroom looked nice but the shower sprayed out of the tub...

We stayed in a deluxe room which while small was well laid out and very pleasant. It is an old hotel and space has been used imaginatively. The location, staff and attention to detail were great. The only critic I have concerns the breakfast. As an Anglo Saxon, I like a hearty breakfast. I booked (on-line) a room with breakfast. Nothing...

Great concierge. Toilet flushing is a problem. Arrive early for breakfast. Breakfast is mediocre but the price is hefty. Go to the corner cafe and have great breakfast for half the price. Ask the concierge for dinner or lunch alternatives, they are great. Elecators are slow. Room amenities are ok.

Yes it is a great location and the staff are friendly and attentive.......but the rooms are in terrible decorative order.... more two or three star! We arrived and the first room was in such a bad way - large dents in the wall where the door handle hit the wall (the door stop wasn't correctly placed) to peeling paint and...

The Montalembert is our favorite hotel in Paris and as wonderful as it was when I first stayed there over fourteen years ago. Perfect location, excellent staff and service, stunning decor and I cannot wait to return again. A true jewel in St Germain!

The hotel was great. We stayed for my 30th birthday and the hotel recognised this and we had complimentary champagne and cake in the room! Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

There is a mini fridge but no coffee or tea prep. I often go to the grocery across the street to stock my fridge but do get coffee/tea from the hotel.

Le personnel est très sympa! J'ai trouvé le portier très serviable et souriant!

Au restaurant aussi, mais pas besoin d'être accompagné pour rejoindre sa chambre!
