I booked Hotel Apostrophe for a weekend in January on the basis of some very good TripAdvisor reviews. I don't regret staying there, but it wasn't as great as I hoped. The main problem was how some very loud noise from another guest was handled. My partner and I were in bed around 12-12:30 am when some extremely loud jazz...

We are sorry that we did not meet your expectations. Nevertheless, upon hearing your displeasure we seeked and found a solution very quickly : free upgrade (and 2 rooms for the price of one). Obviously if you are planning to spend a lot of time inside of your room, we highly recommend to book the bigger room. Finally, we do...

Stayed at this unique, hip and beautiful gem in Sept 2011. We are fortunate to travel internationally a fair bit and it is still one of my favorite hotels. Each room is unique and we chose the "Paris Paradis" room. There are different levels of room, depending on the amenities. It wasn't clear if you could select the exact room,...

My wife and I recently celebrated our honeymoon in France. The final stop on our memorable trip was at the Apostrophe Hotel. The location was ideal in the 6th Arrondisement area of Paris....energetic, upscale, non-touristy and within close proximity to many Parisian attractions as well as the Latin Quarter. The service we received from Laurent and his staff was tremendous....with...

Thank you to Laurent and Isabelle! Though my boyfriend and I like to think of ourselves as low-maintenence guests, there were a few unique challenges we presented to this staff to help with - and they went above and beyond to help. Laurent especially made our trip!! Of course we were provided early check-in, directions, advice on resturaunts, jazz and...

We arrived by Eurostar and managed to get to the hotel via the Metro without too much hassle, even for a novice like myself without knowing a word of French. Just a short walk to the hotel from either local Metro stations, just a case of getting your bearings during the initial arrival. Hotel staff were very friendly and pleasant...

The team at Apostrophe are amazing. We just held our wedding in Paris and the team helped us with everything and were there to support us for the entire trip. Nothing was a problem and as a result we were able to experience the real Parisian side of Paris which was really nice. The location of the hotel is really...

I stayed at the Apostrophe Hotel in May 2012 and I couldn't have been more impressed, from the moment I made my online reservation and received a prompt email back from one of the staff about being able to check in early (subject to room availability) until I left Paris. When I arrived at the hotel after a ten-hour flight...

As a seasoned frequent traveller I have so far never been compelled to write about individual hotel experiences, but I gladly make an exception for the Apostrophe hotel in Paris. This is a hidden gem in Paris' 6me arrondissment. A small hotel in terms of numbder of rooms. Trendy, if small rooms (but what else in Paris ?) with hyper...

I spent 4 nights at the Hotel Apostrophe on a business trip to Paris. Rooms at hotels in Paris have been very small unless we have spent upwards of $1000+/night so I wasn't at all surprised by the space in the room but I knew I wouldn't be spending much time there anyway. What was unexpected was how well the...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
