This hotel is located right around the corner of the Grands Boulevards Metro stop which enables you to get anywhere in Paris with ease. The historic part of town is about a 20 minute walk with many cool restaurants and shops to check out on the way. I also really liked the area around the hotel with several supermarkets just...

Having got a very good deal on Eurostar, I was looking for a similarly inexpensive hotel and Hotel des Arts was a very good choice. Located in the interesting part of Montmarte, away from the more tacky parts of the area, it is typically Parisian. There is a small, slow lift; windows that open into the lightwell; and breakfast in...

I was in utter shock with the lack of professionalism and manners shown by the staff at this hotel. They were so rude in the way the dealt with customers and did not care about it one bit. The room we were allocated had an issue with the gutter and there was a very unpleasant smell which was leaking into...

The hotel is on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle and noise which was lovely to come back to after a long day exploring. The metro is only a few minutes away on foot and most of our journeys usually lasted no longer than about 20 minutes whether we were visiting the Eiffel Tower or Notre Dame...

The Hotel Arts is located on a small street along with several other similar hotels. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and check-in and out-out were quick and easy. The lift, is rather small, so if you are a luggage hound, you might need to make more than one trip. The room was very comfortable and clean with a...

The hotel is at a great location, close to the center and the area is full of bars, restaurants and shops. It is in a small alley, so you avoid the traffic. The rooms are ok, pretty much clean and the stuff was very kind and helpful. The only problem was the noise from the other rooms. We could actually...

We stayed for four nights at this small hotel of 25 rooms. Reception and breakfast room are nicely, and look, recently decorated. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Our large room was in the front but the paintwork needed a freshen up and the wardrobe was just hanging space. The only shelf was stashed with blankets. There were only two power...

I needed a hotel close to good places to eat and a pick up point for the hop on, hop off bus tour. When our taxi dropped us off outside, we realised quickly that we had hit the jackpot. The staff are very friendly, taking time out to chat. The rooms are fine, with a very french feel, clean and...

Having come out of the Metro Grand Boulevards we found the hotel fairly easily - it was tucked away down a side street. Not a noisy area and check in was very easy, very helpful staff in the hotel. The room we stayed in was basic (Room 201) and not that much of view although we didn't go for the...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
