Was a good location and good price with great access to the city. The facilities were clean and attractive and in a nice environment. People were friendly and easy meeting location, Access to the subway system was fairly close as well.

We chose this place for a transit night in Paris and for its proximity to stations. The location was indeed excellent - walking distance from both North & East stations, the checking in was very smooth, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was substantial & the room was very clean. However, I was not prepared for how tiny the room...

Stayed at the St Christopher's Canal Hostel in December last year. The hostel is well set up downstairs and the dorms are quite spacious. Location is quite out of the way from central paris but the canal is a very pretty walk. Delicious food. Would probably look elsewhere if I was staying in Paris again. Not too standout.

I tell you what, after walking for 10 mins from the canal to Gare Du Nord, I was sooo happy to finally get here! The staff were incredibly friendly and the dorms were always very clean, as well as the bathrooms. I arrived on the hottest day of the year - it was 35 degrees celsius at 11pm! I was...

Just returned from 3 nights here, staff are friendly and food is amazing. Tip: Ask for your meat well done if not it comes out raw. Has welcome games so you can meet people and the dorms are ok. Only downside is its very noisy on a weekend from the club downstairs so didn't sleep well and also the dorm...

Thanks for the review. Sorry you found the room to be too hot, we know that during heatwaves it can get a little warm so we turn up the air circulation. We are happy to arrange linen change on any bed, just ask at reception next time. All the best

younger, fun loving crowd with a very competent and friendly staff. "Belushi's," the bar and grill attached to it is outstanding and affordable and the breakfast in the morning is on par. be sure to bring a lock and a towel unless you want to pay a bit more. Will definitely return.

Stayed there for 3 nights when I went to France to meet my mate. Very modern with good vibe and onsite facilities. Just over from the canal which is very scenic. They did have breakfast included however we never woke up on time on any of the days to sample this. Helpful staff, 2 for 1 drinks during certain times...

Staying in La Villette

Neighbourhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the centre.
