This is a first class hotel by any measure, at least as good as the Relais &Chateau hotel that we stayed in following our visit to La Manson de Rhodes. The building is restored to the highest of standards and is a fascinating example of mediaeval timber framing. The proprietor and his staff are most impressive, pleasingly unobtrusive and yet...

Mr Hill, We warmly thank you for leaving us such a lovely comment. As you said, the building has been fully restored during 3 years by the best French craftsmen "Les Compagnons du Devoir". They saved all the medieval charm of the XIIth and XVIth centuries, highlighting the woodwork, paving stones courtyards, beams and old tiles. Our job is a...

Its charming historic ambiance reflects perfectly the atmosphere of Troyes. We enjoyed and relaxed completely both in our room and in the various common spaces. We had dinner in the restaurant. What a treat! Unbeatable!

Stayed for one night on our way to the Alps. We were recommended by some friends and it was everything they said and more. Old wood framed building which has been completely renovated inside and most rooms look out onto little courtyards. We only booked a standard room whilst our friends booked a superior room but both rooms were beautiful...

A beautiful hotel not sure if there's anything else I could say about this place.! A total gem hidden in the back streets, understated but so charming. The food is amazing along with the Rose! A family run hotel but to such a high standard. I think the beds have to be the softest beds I've ever slept in. Staff...

Beautifully old building, restored to an excellent standard. The staff were all wonderfully welcoming and helpful. We had one evening meal at the hotel and echoing preceding reviews, the service was very personal with the chef attending to guests and really nice, but would only rate the food as good, and indeed expensive. Fantastic location in the centre of town,...

What a beautiful hotel! It is located in the old town which is very quiet and peaceful. The staff are very helpful and friendly and there is plenty of parking. Breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. There were pastries, the softest bread and fresh fruit amongst other very fresh produce in vast amounts. We regret not...

Troyes is probably one of the most beautiful town I have ever visited. Cathedrals at every corners, all the buildings are amazing, everything is crooked, exposed timbers and beams everywhere, and this hotel is not exception. We had a "traditional room", which was elegantly decorated, and had a really nice and cosy provincial feel. Our bathroom was nice and big...

Very beautiful, historic room and surroundings, sympathetically restored. Very helpful staff. Lovely evening meal. Excellent central location. Very memorable and romantic. Foolishly I took a large heavy suitcase and our room was on the 2nd floor. This being a 15th century building there are no lifts. I will know for next time! Troyes is a little known gem too.
