We had a comfortable 3 night stay at the Hotel Colbert. Our room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the pedestrianised street. It was quite noisy with the windows open from the catering establishments with outside tables nearby. Once the windows were closed, it shut out most of the noise and we found it not much of a...

Positives- rooms are quite large, good location for seeing the town, good choice of restaurants and bars right by the hotel, nice court yard to have a drink in the evening, the owner is happy to help with things to do. Negatives- rooms are old and need updating, shower is handheld and in the bath with no screen, no lift,...

The husband and wife team do everything possible to make your stay nice. The proximity to the terminal is pretty good. A little farther than i usually go for. The directions say to look for the tourist information bldg. It is the Giant metal and glass bldg across from the terminal exit. There is also an ATM there. If you...

Owner is very friendly and helpful, much more than his wife. Good information about a visit to the city and the restaurants in the neighborhood . Difficult to find a parking next to the hotel. Rooms are not new but clean. The bathrooms are very new and excellent. Breakfast is very, very French. I’m not recommending it. Also the dining...

We stayed at the Hotel Colbert for about 6 nights. Patrice's hotel is small quaint & very clean Well appointed & in an excellent location for EVERYTHING. There is no elevator but the bags can be handled by the staff. Some rooms are larger than others but even the smallest rooms have what ever you need. There is no limit...

After spending days walking around Paris and touring lovely houses in the valley this place in Tours offerred a chill hotel near everything with a street view. Close to food or stores for self catering. The last two hotels we stayed at had no air conditioning but the rooms were small and stuffy. These rooms have high ceilings. Doors that...

The Hotel Colbert is on a pedestrian street in a lively part of Tours - especially in the evening. This is not a fancy hotel, but it was great. Our room was large, all in red, with two windows overlooking the garden in the back. the breakfast was good - and only 7 euros - and the owners (?) Olivier...

Stayed for one night, nice clean room, excellent shower Only thing that let our stay down was that after having been out for a meal we returned and went into the courtyards area only to be met by staff who made it quite clear that we could not smoke there even though it was outside and the distinct impression was...

The hotel is located on a very pedestrian friendly street and it was also a short walk to the train station. It is also only a short walk to the "old town" where there are a ton of shops & restaurants. My wife and I enjoyed walking the streets but I think it is not quite high season yet. The...

Hotel Colbert is located in the center of Tours on a street with several good dining options. We chose to stay in Tours as our base for exploring Loire Valley and visiting the numerous Chateaus. The hotel itself is ran by a very friendly family that went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The...
