We stayed here as part of our Self-guided bicycle trip organised for us as a Half- board, meaning dinner and breakfast included. It really means you are treated only half way there / like lesser guests! No choice at dinner, which was miserly to say the least, let alone almost inedible, while others next to you were treated with menus,...

A very restful place after a day of hectic visits to the Loire valley area. Not for one wanting the city lights . Excellent cuisine and a very sumptuous breakfast. Good and comfortable rooms. Outstanding gardens.

This wonderful chateau was a real find for a relaxing stay in the beautiful Loire Valley. The chateau dates from the 1700's and is surrounded by a beautiful garden which includes a heritage listed sequoia tree. Rooms are large and decorated to provide charm befitting such a wonderful residence and era. The exceptional difference with this chateau is the hosts,...

this place is an excellent starting point for visiting nearby castles and even has bikes for rent on site, which is great. we had a comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom, and slept well in a quiet room facing the road. the gardens need a little maintenance, overall style is unfocused classic with no personality or grace. i thought i...

Wife and I had New Years Eve dinner there. Food was xlnt with a little too much emphasis on seafood. We spent the night because we did not want to drive at 1am. The rooms were magnificent. The grounds were beautiful with ice on the ground. The chateau is in the middle of the forest. The staff was excellent and...

Tucked away in an area of modern buildings but with a rural view and large garden. An attractive building providin gaverage accommodation. The rooms are rather tired and need redecoration. The service on arrival and at the front desk was not very welcoming buut the food was pretty good with an enthusiastic waiter who helped us to enjoy our night's...

We stayed here for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it although we wished we had spent more time just relaxing on the grounds (we had booked many day trips). The food was fantastic, it is conveniently located near the A tram (easy to get downtown), and the rooms/grounds are charming indeed.

We stayed here in September for one night while touring the Loire. The chateau was a little hard to find and locals in the nearest town did not know about it. We do not speak French so this added to the difficulty. Once we found it, we were delighted. We felt as if we were back in history living in...

From the outside the chateau looks fabulous. We has a 'castle' room which really means inside the main building, rather than an annex across the other side, near the car park. The room was excellent, other than the lack of a wash hand basin in the loo. Perhaps others might say this is typical French? But the idea of a...

We have stayed here several times and found it a good base for exploring the Loire area. The hotel now looks a bit shabby with paint peeling in places, but it's a lot cheaper then most decent hotels in the area, so perhaps excusable. I guess we shall probably come here again. This time we had a room on the...
