This was our second visit to Tours, but our first time to stay at the Best Western Central Hotel. This hotel is in an ideal location and offers a parking lot in front of the building for 10 euros/day (a bargain). The rooms within the hotel are undergoing renovation, though the work does not interfere with guests via noise, dust...

The room was very large and the bathroom was very spacious, two things you don't often get in a French hotel. It was tastefully decorated, though looking just a bit tired. The location is fantastic, with most of Tours an easy walk from there. The price for the room was great though it did start to add up once we...

Parking is at the front of the hotel and offered good sized spaces for the cars. We arrived at 2pm and had to wait about 20 minutes for our room to be ready - which we spent looking at the plentiful leaflets in the reception lobby and paying a visit to the ground floor guest toilets. There is also a...

We had a great room with a nice bath, good water pressure in the shower. Location was excellent and the front desk was very helpful. We tend to wander about from street to street. We had dinner at an Italian Restaurant (painted red) just across the square. Very good food and lots of locals. If you visit Amboise be sure...

We (my wife and I, 15 and 12-year-old sons) stayed one night as part of a Discover France bike tour. The hotel was very nice - rooms clean and comfortable. Slightly larger rooms than the other hotels we stayed at during our tour. The breakfast was very good - continental, buffet style with cereal, pastries, fruit, cheese, eggs and meat....

This hotel is light and airy when you arrive, there is a little garden, good parking, and the staff are excellent - friendly, very helpful and knowledgable. We didn't take breakfast so we can't comment on that. We had an Executive room (110), which had been modernised, and the arrangement of the room and decoration could have been more imaginative,...

Clean, good bed, good service, friendly, and short walk to old city center. It worked great for me. WiFi is available, but it did shut off quite often. I was happy to see air conditioning in the room, since the two previous hotels did not have it.

After a stuff up with a hotel that didn't have our reservation, we were recommended to stay at the Central Hotel. It's location to rue Colbert is terrrific. No more than a 5 minute walk. The other plus with this hotel is carparking which is on site (10 Euros per day) rather than 500 metres away. Reception staff very helpful...

We stayed here in April 2012. The rooms we small, but clean and comfortable enough. No big surprises either way. My only complaint is that they have smoking and non-smoking rooms on the same floor, and while you don't smell any smoke in your non-smoking room, you need to walk through smokey corridors to your room. Otherwise, parking was practical...
