La Maison is a fantastic well-restored 15th century mansion, lovingly redone by Phillips and Christine. Perfect location for exploring the Loire on a "hub and spoke" basis. We were easily able to drive to the various chateaux. Access by car is by a very tiny narrow gate in the walls but there is private parking. Our "garden room" was a...

Thank you for this new 'full five green circles' review...and for your very nice description of our place ; what you call "garden room" is in fact our "Suite Jacques Coeur", open to our garden by its private lounge. We hope to see you another time, in our medieval town, to enjoy our news from 2017: -including our discounts starting...

This review is long overdue. My husband and I stayed at La Maison de L'Argentier du Roy in late August and were not disappointed. Philippe and Christine were the warmest hosts ever and shared with us every bit of their home's history. From the story of the maison itself and the journey the couple went through during the restoration, we...

We stayed here for our honeymoon for the 3 days we were in the Loire Valley. Our innkeepers Phillipe and Christine were warm and welcoming. Our room was stunning and faced the garden, still filled with roses in early October. There was plenty of room to relax in the adjoining room, which was a supplement, and the decor in both...

Thank you very much, Janeen, for these new full five green circles...The 'Suite Jacques Coeur' bedroom, you lived in is a very comfortable suite, with its 'king size' bed which has to be the best compromise for all our guests health ( I confess I have personally choosen it, because I may suffer backpains if the bed is not perfect...

This being my first visit to the Loire Valley I was looking for a village to use as my jumping off point for viewing the chateau region.... I wanted a place to say for 3-4 nights. Little did I realize how the MOST CHARMING village of Loches addressed all my needs in being centrally located, not yet over run with...

We spent a week in The Knight's Cottage here in July. We had a wonderful time and Philippe is a great host, an ex-Parisien chef 'retired' to the country. If you need to know anything then ask. We'd been to Loches as a couple a few years ago and so when we returned with a 2 year old this time...

My wife and I spent the month of May travelling in England, France, and Switzerland. My wife wanted to see the chateaux of the Loire Valley so we took a chance that Loches (rather than Amboise) might be a good home base for the region. After much (internet) searching we decided to stay at La Maison de l’Argentier in Loches....
