A very quaint and old hotel hidden away in the middle of Dijon, we were in the Cinderella bedroom up a very spiral staircase (fabulously made) not ideal for those physically challenged ...or have a lot of luggage.... separate toilet and shower (reverse in too - not ideal for over nourished people) typical French breakfast of coffee, cereal bread, fruit,...

We just needed a place for one night. The location is perfect, and it is lovely to walk through the gates into the small terrace. Our room was cozy and warm, everything worked. The service was just fine, although we asked a (very nice) man working the desk if someone would be in the office for a 7 am check-out,...

We really enjoyed staying here. It's nothing flash but it has so much charm & history. We were more than comfortable. The girl on the desk was friendly & spoke good English and the restaurant downstairs was amazing. Wifi was a little sketchy.

We stayed here one night on our way down to the Cote D'Azur. Although our French is limited, the man at the desk could not be more helpful and friendly. He showed us to our modest room, which was fairly basic but very clean with charming features such as lovely vintage furniture. The hotel is set within a beautiful courtyard...

Stayed here for 3 nights when my boyfriend was visiting me in Dijon. Great location, a 20 minute walk to the centre of town or just 5 minutes from lots of excellent restaurants and the atmospheric Place Émile Zola. The service was very friendly, they speak good English there. Can especially recommend the adjoining restaurant. Breakfast also worth paying for...

The room was clean and serviceable. We could have done with a pillow though, we had a tiny roll across the top top the bed which we both shared the curtains and could do with fitting the window as there are windows opposite. There is a restraunt in the courtyard (not connected to the hotel) which was extremely noisy making...

We booked this hotel with the full knowledge of previous reviews. There were no surprises! Parking was a tight fit, but we made it after jiggling around. Rooms do need some TLC. Some paint, refresh the bedding etc. We did find the reception staff pleasant and willing to assist, e.g. extra pillows, advice of where to visit. No problems there....

Please correct the name of the hôtel which should spell "Hôtel Le Sauvage" rather than "Hôtel Du Sauvage". I plan a stay there at the end of next June. The place was recommended to me by a local inhabitant of Dijon. I will let you know after my stay in Dijon.

You may read other reviews saying "Full of charm" "Quirky" and it may have been twenty years ago! On arrival met by a surly receptionist, no greeting,no smileThe first room we were shown to was so depressing, so basic, small, dark. We asked for a better room, and had to pay for the upgrade. Yes it was bigger but dreadful. No pillows...
