Delightful reception staff friendly and helpful with excellent English Some parking in courtyard and a public car park opposite This hotel is within easy walking distance of all the sites and shops The room was adequate but we found the restaurant disappointing with disinterested staff and a below average breakfast

This was our second stopover at Philippe let Bon on the way to the Alps. It certainly has character. Our room was up a couple of flights of stairs under the eaves, with somewhat eccentric decor - 1970s with red leather highlights. We were rather sad to find that the restaurant had been modernised in a similar style. This said,...

This hotel is located in the center of the city, easy for accessing into the landmarks of Dijon. Walking to these attractions is only 5-10 minutes. The hotel itself is an interesting place itself. The Gothic courtyard is nice to see. The room is not that large but comfortable and serves the purpose for city visit. Wifi is reliable and...

Service was excellent. We loved the wine bar. Restaurant was fairly good but overpriced. The main room and the bathroom facilities were too small. Staff were friendly and generous with their willingness to speak English. Thank you.

We are enjoying a wonderful four day break here. The location is brilliant and we have done some lovely walks. The front desk staff are incredibly friendly - nothing is too much trouble ! The recommended wine tour has been a highlight of our holiday. Thank you so very much !

On my way to Paris, my mom and I decided to stop by Dijon for a little break. This city was full of gothic things it made me feel like I was in a gargoyle movie. The hotel is just 5 minutes walking distance away from all the great shopping and from the art museum. Would stay here again! Restaurant...

This hotel is a superb place to be in Dijon, a world-heritage city. The modernity of the rooms makes a nice contrast to the historical settings. The personnel is very friendly, the superior rooms truly large, the beds comfortable and the bar well-equipped with the best wines in France,

This was a last minute booking made from the TGV so no time for research. We were very pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful hotel and courtyard a short walk from the TGV station. The staff was very welcoming and upgraded us to an executive room without us even asking simply because it was available. The room was spacious, surprisingly...

Very nice service from the reception who were happy to change our room to one in the older part of the hotel. The first room offered was a bit grim in the front part of the hotel. Great to have parking in the hotel car park. We had our dog travelling with us and chose the hotel as dogs are...

We enjoyed our stay here enormously. This was mainly for two reasons, the setting - the building and courtyards in this central location are very lovely especially the superb 15thC courtyard. But also because of how friendly the hotel staff are. Our room was spacious, clean and well decorated. The bar had a huge selection of fine wines. The restaurant...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A stone's throw from the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy, nestling in the heart of the historical centre of Dijon, Hotel Philippe Le Bon and its restaurant La Closerie, are made up of three majestic town houses dating from the 15th and 18th centuries. With its shaded patio, its listed Gothic courtyard and its several historical caveaux, you will appreciate this timeless place which then becomes a point of convergence of modernity and refinement on one hand, and of charm, authenticity and of French art de vivre, on the other. ... more   less
