We stayed a week at the Red Hat. Our family room (2 adults, 2 young people) was in the back building, on the 3rd floor. This had the disadvantage that there was no elevator to serve it and that you had to walk a few lengths of corridors to reach it but at least we were quiet and were not hampered by the work in the street (works that, to tell the truth, were quiet; they just took away some of its charm from the neighborhood).
The room was spacious enough for four, impeccable cleanliness and comfortable bedding. We enjoyed being offered a bottle of champagne and a jar of mustard on the last night, perhaps to make us forget the disappearance of a bag full of treats, mistakenly thrown away by the housekeeper.
Breakfast consisting of local produce and served at the table was very good but lacked a little variety throughout the week.
We did not test the spa to book, but the hot tub in the bathroom was already well relaxing.
We also did not try the Michelin-starred restaurant (out of budget for us), but we chose the Inn for its fairly central location, close to restaurants and public parking.

The hotel's position is very central, the welcome impeccable. Access to the sauna is also possible even with children, the bedding is of good quality and the chalbres are silent. This hotel is highly recommended, our family stay was wonderful.

The hotel is beautiful with friendly and helpful staff. We had a spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Great amenities such as a towel warming rack, delicious smelling soaps. The coffee bar and mini bar were well stocked. The in room safe was surprisingly small - too small for a laptop. This hotel also had a good selection of channels on the TV. I had let the hotel know that we would be arriving before check in and wished to leave our luggage with them, but they had our room ready for us on arrival so we were able to freshen up before our lunch reservation which was much appreciated. They also kindly held our luggage for several hours after check out. We did not dine in the restaurant at the hotel because it is very meat centered and we are vegetarian, but it always smelled delicious.

We had high expectation of a hotel colocated with the best restaurant in town, 2-star Michelin. Big disappointment! The front desk staff was beyond rude. Frommer's guide subtly mentioned that "staff can be gruff"; it's worse. Paid over US$200 (breakfast and parking extra) per night for a minuscule room and a clogged bathtub. The separate toilet room, a gem! When sitting down your knees could easily touch the wall in front. The bathtub was clogged; the caulking cracked and discolored. The attached pictures show the view from our room. A decrepit building in utter disrepair! What a shame!

Very welcoming staff in this establishment whose location is ideally located to visit the historic center of the city. A valet parking is available for a small fee. The room is comfortable and the hotel is very quiet. Fresh homemade products are served at breakfast.

Everything was balanced. Breakfast, in 2 types, rooms, beds. Staff friendly and correct. Fine valet service. Overall slept well. Location is also perfectly accessible on edge of downtown mar the car.

Only Dujon still has to install public charging stations with minus 22 KwH.

Everything was perfect, especially the massage with Karine, who was extremely attentive, and the wellness area.
The room service tray is very good (delicious homemade bread) although an expanded room service menu would be welcome.
Large room, very comfortable, not a big fan of the decor but this opinion is very personal.
Efficient, professional and charming welcome.
A very good stay that I highly recommend.

We have been staying at Hostellerie Chapeau Rouge for over 20 years to break our journey down to the south of France. It is conveniently located in the centre of Dijon. The hotel and rooms are modern, clean, comfortable and well appointed. The staff are exceptional - they are polite, efficient, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. There is secure overnight parking for an additional charge which is very useful for us.

Everything was perfect: excellent welcome by a very friendly staff, large room with shower as requested (thanks for the upgrade), successful modern decor, very comfortable bedding. The 10 EUR express breakfast offer is a great idea (e.g. for the morning of departure!). The full breakfast served at the table is better than a buffet. Deserves 4 stars, which is not always the case for other hotels!

The hotel is very centrally located but still quiet. Very comfortable mattresses. Very friendly staff. A bottle of water in the room every day. We booked a double room. This room is VERY small. What I really missed was a wardrobe. There is a rack with 4 hangers and a few open compartments for storing clothes. It rained a lot when we were there; we didn't know where to put our wet rain jackets because the rack was full of evening clothes. The bathtub for showering is very high and there is no handle when you get out; very dangerous. Otherwise, it was pleasant in this hotel and you can't complain about it for 2 nights. We didn't book breakfast, but we would definitely do it next time.
