Nicolasi, the proud owner, welcomed us to hotel with Gaelic charm and advice and local knowledge. He is attentive but quietly in the background—he doesn’t overwhelm—so ask him whatever you want to know. The setting of the hotel is unique in a walled city in...More
We were on a bike trip through Brittany and Normany. We spent two nights in Dinan, as the area has a lot to see and it is a convenient stopping point with lots of restaurants and historic sites. The hotel is an old historic building...More

Room felt run down & out of date, but served the purpose. Bathroom was large but again very basic. Breakfast had the essentials only. Best thing about the hotel is the location in the historic old town.More

Thank you for your request concerning the hotel le d'AVAUGOUR, We do have very quiet rooms overlooking the garden and the remparts, you have only the birds in the trees if you open the windows, but we do have double glazed , and even overlooking the squares if it is closed there is no noise.
Concerning the second question, the hotel is in the city center , it was two private houses with a terrace and a nice and sunny garden, due to the fact of the city center, we have no possibilities to have a swimming pool because it is a protected area with the "Batiment de France" at 200 meters of the castle of the Duchesse ANNE (future queen of France) the legislation is very strict and this building dated 1820, cannot have a modern equipment . For information the beaches are at 18 km with possibilities to swim and they are very secure.
I am waiting for your reservation , I will do the best for your entire satisfaction.
