Believe all the good reviews - this is not the grandest hotel but it can't be beaten for the welcome and homely feel provided by Bruno and family. Our room was very comfortable and had a small balcony with a lovely view over the square. The breakfast is not to be missed. You can scour the nearby market for local...

This small hotel is bang in the middle of the town and easy to walk to from either train or bus. We had a room with balcony on the front of the hotel, which overlooks a pedestrianised street crammed with lovely shops, cafes and close to many restaurants. It was quite noisy with the window open, especially when the dustbin...

This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever had the pleasure to visit. The location just minutes from the train/bus station in the center of the historic area of town is ideal, and the hospitality of the owner/host, Bruno and his wife, Denise is second-to-none. Bruno speaks perfect English and French. We stayed in Room 5 on the third...

I don't think we've ever stayed anywhere where the host was more concerned that all of our needs were taken care of. Bruno is justifiable proud of his small hotel in this most charming town. There just isn't anything even remotely negative to say. The rooms were very comfortable, the hosts were sincerely friendly and helpful, the location was great...

Excellent location of the hotel. Walkable from bus station, easy access to beach, in the centre of the main walking street. The owner was very warm with the welcome, explaining the town areas, restaurants and even making meal reservations for us. The breakfast is really fresh and good.

Fabulous location, being right in the centre of the old town. It's spotlessly clean and run by a genuinely lovely family. Bruno (the owner) knows all there is to know about Saint Jean de Luz, and is more than happy to share it with his guests. From places to visit to restaurants to dine in, just ask and Bruno will...

Cannot speak highly enough of this place. Hotel wonderfully central with easy motorbike parking nearby, yet still nice and quiet. Rooms very comfortable and cosy with modern clean bathroom. The amazing breakfast offers everything you could want to sample. But most importantly Bruno and his wife make it what it is - they could not have been more helpful, kind...

Hotel Les Almadies is within a couple of minutes walk both from the harbour and the glorious golden sandy beach. You could easily walk by without noticing the entrance but once inside the entire place is immaculate and the welcome from the owners Bruno and Denise is as warm and professional as you could possibly wish for. The rooms have...

Hotel Les Almadies was a beautiful place to stay. Our room was superb and the hotel is tastefully decorated. Bruno and his wife made us feel very welcomed and we felt as if we were at home. The breakfast was perfect and featured local produce. I would, without a doubt, stay here again if I return to St. Jean-de-Luz.

What a find.....right in the heart of St Jean de Luzs' pedestrian street you might overlook this for that very reason but don't. The owners are charming & the rooms are thoughtfully furnished. Double glazed so silent, comfy bed, lovely bedlinen, fluffy towels & bathrobes & ecological bathroom products. Our room was at the back so no terrace or great view but it...
