The Mill can be found nestled amongst woodland surrounded by fast flowing streams hidden from view down a pretty country lane. First impressions are beautiful buildings, peaceful ambience, the sounds of nature and the powerful mill race. We also stayed in Melisse for four indulgent, happy days with the intention of exploring the area but once we arrived, our plans...

We recently stayed at Moulin de Larcy and it was bliss. If you need to unwind and enjoy some peace, this is the place for you.If you don't need to unwind it's still the place for you. We stayed in Melisse, which is beautifully appointed with kitchen, lounge area, lovely bedroom and extremely comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom. We relaxed...

This was our 2nd stay at la Moulin de Larcy. We vowed and declared the last time we stayed that we would be back, and we're so glad we did! As with our previous stay 6 years ago, Anita was the consummate hostess and we have left after 5 nights stay totally relaxed and rejuvenated. This really is a place...

Having searched for places to stay my wife and I discovered this gem. Beautiful setting and fantastic service from the owner. Having driven from England and being very tired, we were treated to a fabulous meal served in the apartment which itself was beautiful.

We found Moulin de Larcy purely by chance and what a find!! All of the previous reviews are spot on. All of the apartments are beautiful and we chose to stay in 'Melisse' which is exceptional with every convenience available. Anita and Simon's attention to detail in creating this beautiful retreat is second to none. I cannot express how lovely...

Our second trip to Le Moulin de Larcy was as good as the first, three years ago. The stunningly beautiful renovated water mill has three self-catering apartments, and a breakfast basket of pastries/bread/fresh egss/fruit/who knows for the day? appears on your doorstep each morning. The sounds of the river wash your stresses away and walking the island and 9 hectares...

We had a week around the Dordogne last week. First staying for 3 nights in Sarlat la Caneda. Then we drove to Moulin de Larcy near Riberac for the next three nights. The drive was lovely and was only about an hour and a half. When we arrived we were excited to see if the moulin lived up to the...

The Moulin de Larcy is quite extraordinary. Three magnificent apartments have been fashioned from an ancient watermill, all offering acres of space, tasteful luxury and complete tranquillity. We had the ground floor apartment which has a terrace over the mill race and you really could sit there all day, just looking at the water. The wildlife is mesmerising. The swimming...

My husband and I are avid travellers. Our stay at Moulin de Larcy remain on our list of TOP 5 experiences to date. From the moment we arrived, Chocolat's warm embrace and the mind-blowing fish dinner, the welcome wine to the stylish accommodation, we felt as if we were the first and only guests of Anita. Moulin De Larcy is a tranquil piece of paradise and we can't wait to go back. The setting is picturesque, the surrounding area beautiful french countryside and the accommodation is excellent. We stayed in the Angelica apartment which was beautifully decorated in neutral tones and little touches that make it feel welcoming and homely - not cold and impersonal like...
