We picked this place after much research, including these postings on Tripadvisor. And just about every positive comment was truthful and informative. We got the room overlooking the garden. It was a large garden with plenty of places to sit and even a roofed gazebo with tables, chairs, frig etc.at the far end. The breakfasts were just Ok but unusual... More

Dear Guests It is clear from your lengthy description that you claim to have suffered some distress. However it is also clear from the description that this distress was not communicated to us until quite a considerable time later. We cannot address a problem who's existence we are not aware of. Once the problem was made known to us, it... More

We felt unwelcome from the moment we were greeted by Mike, our host. From the personal slights to his superior attitude, we found ourselves feeling unwelcome. His co-host Suzanne is lovely. However, we dreaded returning at the end of our day of adventures and left early. The former monastery is beautiful but, there was little circulation and no fans in... More

Dear Sir We are sorry your stay was not to your satisfaction. The cause for your general discontentment may however be explained by the following. Our check-in time is 16.00 to 19.00. At 18.30 we received a curt email just saying "We will arrive 21.30" You eventually arrived at 22.30, and then instead of the three rooms you booked, you... More

WOW,WOW,WOW the accommodations were the best, even better than the wonderful photographs, and the hosts were totally charming. I will go back some day and have already recommended this B&B to good friends for their next visit to the Dordogne region. Very comfortable beds and well functioning baths with new plumbing made for an easy stay. Karen C.

We stayed here due to all the hype but lived to regret it! The compulsory three nights seemed like forever. Despite reserving 4 months in advance and an exchange of numerous e-mails, we got a tiny room with cheap furniture and thin curtains which served no purpose at all. We requested twin beds twice before arrival but upon being shown... More

Dear Guest It appears that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We are truly sorry to hear that! Six years, and a few thousand guests without problems worth mentioning, and the rug gets pulled from under us! But let’s make an effort to try and address at least some of your many problems. The twin beds you bring... More

We stayed here for 5 nights, and it could not have been more perfect. Our adult daughters met us for 2 nights here, and we had such a lovely relaxing time. Suzanne and Mike are perfect hosts and they have created a lovely home and grounds out of this old monastery. Their love for this place is apparent. The rooms... More

Our hosts were really charming. It was really nice to chat with other guests during breakfast. The "Ferme" is away from the center of les Eyzies so it's really quiet, but it is at the crossroads of every way to any sightseing place! The swimming pool is quite delightful to take break between tiresome walks. NB to French tourists, you... More

Most friendly hosts, in an amazing historic environment. A wonderful week, not to be ever forgotten. A most interesting part of the world, and could have spent many more weeks exploring this fasignating region of France. Thanks Suzzane and Mike and we hope to come and stay again one day.

Mike and Suzanne made our special week even more special and we are already thinking of heading back in a couple of years to visit again. Mike and Suzanne remodeled this lovely ferme from the ground up over several years. Suzanne has decorated the rooms and grounds (literally every surface) with antiques she has collected. You will feel most welcomed on arrival and find Ferme de Tayac a perfect quiet retreat, centrally located, to return to after a long day of adventure around the area. It... More

If you ever nurtured a dream to restore an old wreck of a monastic farm in rural France, save yourself the labor and visit the Ferme de Tayac! It is everyone's dream come true. We were there for 4 nights last year and just returned from 8 more! In so many ways, the Ferme evokes medieval life in rural France,... More
