This hotel is outstanding in many ways: friendly front desk and support staff, beautiful property and rooms, great location, the best food we ate on our whole trip. But all of those benefits are considerably offset by the hotel managers (those managing the hotel, bar, and restaurant), who were inflexible, harried, and unfriendly. We felt that any request we made...

We stayed two nights here as part of our walking (and food odyssey) through the Dordogne, Arrived after a rather wet 10 miles or so and warmly welcomed to this very nice hotel which provided all we needed. Great rooms, plenty of space and comfortable. Excellent garden area with pool. Roomy bathroom. Excellent dinner in their highly rated restaurant. Although...

Hello, our hotel was a step of your walking and food odyssey (!) in Périgord, and apparently it's a great memory ! We're happy to know you enjoyed Les Glycines a lot, their rooms, the garden, the cooking (thanks for the details on parts of your half board menu, we're sure some readers will appreciate...). We'll try to offer you...

We stayed in Les Glycines as part of a 10 day food & wine cycling holiday. This hotel stood out as it was just a short 10 mins stroll into Les Eyzies & the various tourist attractions & a very comfortable oasis on our day off from cycling. The gardens are not only large with the mandatory pool but they...

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here today with an exceptional menu du jour. It was a wet Saturday and we were looking forward to a long leisurely lunch in what are beautiful surroundings. We have stayed and dined here before and our experience was faultless but have never experienced the somewhat frenetic atmosphere of lunch. We ordered our aperitif and...

Hello and thank you for this review, very quickly posted ! We apologize if the service seemed too rushed for you, usually clients in many restaurants complain about its slowness! It's true that the "rhythm" of the Bistro is not the same as that of our gastronomic restaurant you dined before but it's most of the time quiet. We're pleased...

Everything (and more) that you could ask for with a comfortable room with lots of space; a view looking out over the hotel's garden area; a location that was quiet yet convenient to Les Ezysies and the attractions of Cro Magnon; and a restaurant where we had 2 "five star" rated dinners (plus something of the best croissants for breakfast)....

The front door of Hotel Les Glycine is on a bend on the edge of the D47 as you leave Les Eyzies for the North. This makes unloading and re-loading luggage tricky. It is an extensively modernised old building which has been greatly extended, resulting in a lot of climbing up and down stairs and ramps to get from some...

Hello, thank you for this long et good review about Les Glycines. You spent time to describe your stay to the other users of this website. You appreciated the calm of your room and the food in our gastronomic restaurant (even if the known Bellota pork from Spain didn't please you a lot). Sorry for the delayed check-out, it's rare...

We had a lovely bright room, charmingly furnished with pretty views. Staff spoke English and was welcoming. The only draw backs was that luggage had to be carried up stairs & the key was on a huge disk.

Hello and thank you for your review. Yes, we try to speak english well, but... ! We always offer to our guests to carry their luggage, moreover when the rooms are upstairs, and we're surprised you had to do that. All the welcoming staff wishes you a nice autumn.

Smallish rooms. Overdone, overpriced resto. Room had no mini bar, no in-room coffee maker. Nighttime pillow chocolate service occurred just twice during our 4 day stay. Shower was in-tub bath/shower combo with only a small glass panel to keep the spray clear of the bathroom floor; it didn't! On one of our nights housekeeping had forgotten to make up and...

From our walks through town, this property could be the best luxury option in Les Elzies. The beautiful grounds have a nice, but unheated pool.
