I remember when we first went to this place with a group of friends about 10 years ago we were absolutely charmed by it localisation and food. However it hasn't sustained its level till today. When we were there a couple of weeks ago half of the dishes on the menu were not available anymore and the service was ,...

Strasbourg is your picturesque town and Hotel Chut is the perfect complement to it. Wonderful old French arquitecture mixed with contemporary design on an adorable block and delicious food. The staff is nice and very solicit. We stayed at a lovely room (2) with its own bathroom (a few rooms only have a shower and share a toilet, so ask...

The room did say it was the deluxe but it was quite small. Too small for a family but cozy for a couple. The hotel itself is traditional architecture and the staff is friendly. It located in a prime location, walking distance from the train station and downtown.

We only dined there so did not see the hotel rooms. Finding this little pearl was not so easy. It is walking distance from the city core, and it is a real charmer with quirky decor from the old days. Best of all it is a marvelous foodie find. We went early (like 7:45) and had the place to ourselves...

Imagine all of the horrors that a hotel could offer and you would have a picture of Hotel Chut. It should be called Hotel Shut, because that's what it should be...shut. It took us over 2 hours and several stops into other hotels for directions, plus Google Street View and blind luck before we even found it. There is no...

Room smallest I've ever been in with loo at a great angle for mooning!Curtain falls off at the slightest touch. Staff friendly. The restaurant was closed (one of the reasons we booked) Stairs to room narrow steep and winding. No parking close by. Be warned!

Room was small but okay for Europe. The only thing i did not know was the whole bathroom was without a door. Little bit uncomfortable. This was the only shower that I could stand up in. Overall really great spot to the visit the old city.

on the plus side: good beds, good coffee (but only one cup), friendly French service, good location Negative, (good humor a necessity): toilet, shower, washbasin in same room with bed and chair in close proximity, one hanger, doors so heavy no need to bring weights! Shutters often none functional to let in the early morning sun, towel frayed, no wardrobe,...

I rarely write a negative review. I check reviews and try to have realistic expectations. I'm writing this not to convince you to avoid this hotel, but to give you information I would like to have had in advance. First, the positives: - It's the type of hotel we look for - old, near the city center, with character. -...

Our experience at Hotel Chut was very much a mixed one: The good points: a very nice building with lots of nice and personal touches around the house/rooms, friendly staff, a very central location from where one can easily explore all of central Strasbourg. The not so good points: the room was very noisy, one could hear every word/scream/engine that...
