It was already dark but the taxi driver kept going around the houses and when he stopped at one house it didn' t look like a hotel so we only reluctantly got out of the car. The hall was astonishing - an imposing staircase and above it Victorian stained glass art - after only few steps inside there was an...

What a lovely account you have written of your recent stay, thank you for doing so and for your kind words. I'm happy to hear you were astonished by our entrance and original staircase and stained glass window. Hopefully next time you get to stay longer with Virginia..... Kind regards

I stayed here with my son for 1 night as we visited Manchester to see a few sites and attend a MU game. Located a convenient distance from the City. The house is nicely decorated and the room was as well. The bed was comfortable and room clean. No hesitation in recommending to others.

What a great place to stay. If it is not too far out of your way, stay here. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is friendly and accommodating. I stayed in a room on the first floor this time, room 43, that had a seperate bathtub in the room itself (see picture). I took my first proper bath in probably...

An exceptional hotel where decor and ambiance are thoughtfully introduced and maintained to a very high standard. Staff are always welcoming, friendly and happy to go out of their way to make you feel at home.

Loved it, the eclectic decor is quite unique. The areas are very cozy and give a hommie feel. The food was great and the whole atmosphere is like out of a fairy tale. The staff super friendly and helpful. Wish I could stay longer. The bathroom was very clean, the complimentary tea and water was much appreciated. The only complaint...

What a lovely enchanting review you have taken the time to write after your recent stay. A fairy tale atmosphere is a lovely description. It's disappointing to hear you had noisy neighbours above you, but glad that you managed to get back to sleep Best wishes

I stayed one night at Didsbury house as I was travelling for work. Upon arrival I was met with a very friendly member of staff (I believe called Simon) who was pleasant, instantly accommodating and professional. Due to availability, my room was upgraded. However, as I was staying alone I didn't really need the upgrade and was actually looking forward...

Conveniently located within walking distance of the lively and gentrified Didsbury, the villa style hotel is beautifully decorated. The public areas such as the lounge and bar area are very nice. My bedroom was very large, with 3 separate rooms, well equipped, comfortable and quiet. Not too sure why I might need 2 baths in the bedroom but the one...

Thank you for sharing your experience after your recent stay. I'm really sorry that you had to experience such a wait with your breakfast. As you mentioned we were let down that morning by a member of staff so were slightly behind being ready for your group who came to breakfast early and were ordering speciality coffees, which take time...

Stayed overnight while visiting son at university, brought the two black labs as going on to the Lakes for extended walkies. Intended to leave the dogs in the car but we're delighted to see them invited to join us in the room. Dogs were doubly excited to be allowed upstairs but behaved well. Fab dog-friendly Didsbury Park round the corner...

The initial impression was good, something different from the all modern glass jobs. Our room was clean and spacious but not too sure about the bath being in the middle of the bedroom. Differently, definately! The staff varied from being very good to inexperienced. Drink prices in the bar were way too high and I think it's time to drop...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review after your recent stay. All feedback is extremely valuable to us to so it is great to receive your comments. It’s great that you found the hotel good and something different but I’m sorry to hear that our usually popular free standing roll top baths are not to your taste....
