Did not stay at the hotel but did have coffee outside, we sat outside & watched the world go by. Can recommend it at least for the coffee & view from the outside. The guy who served us was pleasant & helpful

The centre of Manchester is expensive and the Mitre Hotel is cheap. You pay for what you get! Fairly dirty, loud but the beds were comfy. If you need to stay central and you're on a budget this is your place. If You want a nice place. Pay a nice price!

The wife and I walked in off the street for some food & drink. Ordered and paid by debit card. First card machine didn't spit out a receipt. I was assured by the person serving me that the transaction hadn't completed. He fetched a new machine and this worked ok. Checked my bank yesterday to see I have been double...

Although the location was ideal as it is right next to the shopping centre and a variety of restaurants/bars, the quality was very poor. It looks nothing like the photos the rooms are very basic with thin sheets and a very weak shower with limited hot water. As well as thin walls and windows however the rooms were ridiculously hot,...

On my 2nd night here, I went out briefly at 7pm (I got back at 7.30pm) and when I returned my suitcase had been stolen from my locked room. My whole suitcase. The room was very near the fire stairs. Police were called but were unable to attend immediately. The Receptionist & Bar Supervisor (two young women) were the only...

Travelled with friends and it spoiled our weekend. The rooms and bedding were dirty. Stains all over the bedding. Holes in the wall. A bathroom you couldn't stand up in. A sofa bed that was ripped and only had 3 legs on it. Tried to get a refund but the manager would only talk to the receptionist and said there...

Was very disappointed as the photos on the website looked lovely, different story when arrived, spent half an hour while the receptionist tried to locate our booking stating she had nothing booked in my name, carpets worn, tatty all through from reception to room, glass broken in many of the the windows, marks up the wall, cob webs the toilet...

There was no plug in the washbasin in my room - it was a mechanical stopper without an actual stopper I asked at reception for a (rubber) plug and was told the matter would be dealt with which it wasn't I used a boys scouts method of plugging the basin in the morning and was only staying one night fortunately...

My partner and I stayed here for two nights, in room 33 the 'executive room' - but it was far from it. I think it's easier to list what was wrong with the place so here goes: no bulb in awful light fitting above the bed and only one in the central one, stained bed sheets, TERRIBLE old mattress, wonkey...
