We were staying at Motel One next door and popped in for a quick drink after an afternoon in Manchester with friends. The décor is all Marilyn Monroe and quirky with a good old fashioned pub feel to it. Would definitely pop in again for a drink as the bar staff were friendly and had good banter with each other...

Working on train station across the road so five mins away, old style pub with character , £30 for single room, decent standard Room for money, nice freshly cooked breakfast. Nearby car parking and close to the local nightlife, eating places etc..

Went for a pint before the train to Manchester airport. This hotel and pub is so close to the railway station, so it is a convenient place for a beer and relaxation. Nice staff (husband and wife?), and they also have free Wifi. Also serving some food, but we didn't try as we were just there for a beer.

Spent three night here when my son and i went to watch Man utd. Friendly staff and breakfast was very good. After the first night the shower leaked and we were asked not to use it. Everyone apologised and give us money back. No problem as the bathroom was two doors down.

We visited Monroe's after the Manchester game a d were happy we did. The friendly staff and great ales were perfect for an early Sat night. The decor pays homage to maryln monroe and the rustic nostalgic vibe is a perfect way to enjoy a pint. Definitely worth a visit.

Stopped off at Monroes during a road trip through Scotland/England. It was a great place to stay. Excellent location for public transportation and in close proximity to other bars/lounges. Staff was helpful in advising on parking locations etc. The room was clean and we had a nice breakfast in the morning. Would stay there again 👍🏻

We didn't stay in the hotel, but we did go to the site of "The Twisted Wheel" now a hotel! and sadly this once great venue only commemorated by a tiny plaque 12 feet off the ground! Anyway to drown our sorrows we went into the pub next door "Monroes". We got a friendly greeting from the barman ,what a fascinating...
