I was invited to speak to the Healthcare Bussiness Community in October 21 and had done several including London. I was staying overnight for this event, so arrived at 5pm after a busy day and travelling from London via the South East. I arrived and asked what time dinner was - I was informed by the reception it was from 6.30 ? I went down to the Restaurant at 7pm and found the restaurant closed - I was puzzled so went back to the reception to be informed it was closed on Wednesdays ! I then found a pub and had dinner I was woken up at 3am with people arriving and banging doors and again by people outside. The conference room was dirty and had last years xmas decs still up. The OV was not working and so the event started late and over 60 deletes in the room. The main conference midday meal was served on cols plates - it was a hot meal The guy in reception and who was sorting out the conference room was then serving the food. No tea or coffee was available after lunch. I was asked to speak by a company who I had worked with before so I lay no blame with them - in fact they did everything to sort the problem out. I would not recommend this hotel and would avoid this one.

I paid £423 for two night and two double rooms. The hotel and especially the rooms were very disappointing. Very tatty and very noisy. Doors banging very early hours of the morning. Gentleman on reception very rude. A bottle of wine was £32.00, exactly the same bottle you could get for £7. A premier Inn or Travelodge are like a 5*. Will never return to this hotel.

Staff was nice and polite on arrival. Check in was quick. Room was rather small but OK for 2 nights. We was hardly in the room apart from sleep time. The room was clean. It was located near all the things we wanted to see and do. Breakfast was great. Nice and fresh. It was help yourself breakfast. And we enjoyed. Would use again.

I’ve just spent one night in this hotel and reluctantly have to say it was not a pleasant experience. The first room I was given I walked into unmade bed, towels on the floor, bins full. It looked as if the room still had occupants. When I went back to reception to let them know the “young lad” was extremely apologetic. According to his information the room was empty and had been prepared for the next visitor. He then transferred me to another. When I walked in the bed was made but the cups were still with coffee. In fact the spoon had stuck to inside one of cups. Also there was no toilet paper, only the cardboard inners hanging on the rail. As the hotel was not serving food ( no staff), I decided I’d pop out . On the way out I took the cups to reception and met a senior gentleman and asked if new cups and toilet paper would be made ready for me to pick up on my return. When I came back I met the same gentleman. He told me had upgraded me into a better room and had already move my bags. He apologised for what had happened. In the morning I had problems with the hot tap in the bath. It nearly fell apart in my hand !… and this was in an upgraded room. Breakfast was 7:30 to 9:30 ! Why so late ! In other places it starts at 6:30 so that business people can get away early. I actually spent the week in the hotel but stayed only one night. At no time did I see any cleaners. There appeared to be very few staff. At breakfast I saw the manager showing 3 agency staff what to do. It looked as if it was him, the cook in the kitchen and ( it looked like) 3 students to cover the 2hours catering for (from what I could hear) 75 customers. Over the week I came across coffee stained tables and dust everywhere. Outside the hotel it is advertising food and drink … it’s not proving this … I do feel for the staff. They looked as if they were trying their best, but you could see that the majority were young and inexperienced. I wish “Executive Management “ would read these reviews and realise that their hotel is failing. These reviews and complaints made to your manager and his staff must be affecting their morale. My advice ! 1. Stop agency staff. 2. Offer competitive wages. 3. Acknowledge and try and keep your experienced staff. A lot of hotels are getting in right…….sadly you guys are not

Clean that about it , pictures make it look like there is a nice bar outside - don’t bother terrible Will not return to this hotel , room so small only suitable as a single room not for sharing ok location for the village area
