Had booked a Premier Inn but got my bearings wrong and on arrival didn't fancy staying where we'd booked (Deansgate Locks, or Hulme as it should be described. Think bars on all ground floor windows), so a last minute scan of Trip Advisor for a decent hotel close enough to Castelfield led us to book the V & A from...

Arrived early but our 2 rooms were ready so a good start. However within 30 mins a waiter spilt a tray of drinks directly into my lap. As we were there for only 2 nights that reduced my wardrobe to nearly 50%. The complimentary dry cleaning then took 24 hours! We had booked a deluxe double room. I was surprised...

Well worth booking if your visiting Manchester, great location close enough to walk into city centre but tucked away enough so you can get a good nights sleep. Lovely rooms & staff very nice, only downside to this hotel is the prices of food & drink a tad too expensive for what you get, worth going out to eat as...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set in the vibrant Manchester city centre on the banks of the River Irwell, the Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel in England exudes a historical charm. Our cozy 4-star Manchester hotel's location across from Granada Television Studios is ideal, as guests enjoy a short and pleasant stroll to the Opera House, Spinningfields area, and Palace Theatre. Since our Manchester city center hotel's origin was a warehouse built in 1844, you will find many authentic details in our guest rooms including exposed brick and oak beams. Our £3 million renovation in 2014 highlights the old architecture and new contemporary flair, along with modern comforts and services. ... more   less
