This hotel is situated well, a short walk from the major train station & bars. It's look nice upon entering but the deeper you go the more dated it is. Ok if you want cheap, not ok if you want luxury with your stays.

What can I say! This place looks good at 1st sight but it goes downhill rapidly! On checking in we noticed a poster stating that if you book a breakfast online it's £10.95 but to book as you check in it's only £7.95! So glad I didn't book in advance! Also noticed that we booked online to find the room...

Firstly, it took us ages to find and when we eventually found it there was no parking. This was an issue as we then had to pay £20 at a near-by car park for one night, in which dodgy people were hanging around. The hotel was reasonable in price £40 per night. However, the bathrooms were dirty and did not...

Great location and price (except WIFI is not excluded). But decor is seriously dated. as soon as you walk in the main doors you are confronted with stained carpets, gold trimmed furniture and french applique that seriously lacking in taste. In all honesty, when did you last update your rooms? Update your decor and you may attract more customers/ entice...

Came here with a tour group and the hotel was included in the package deal, so we didn't have a choice as to where we stayed. It is in need of major updating. There is a club underneath it so even on the third floor all you can hear is heavy bass line and karaoke. The room smells like cigarettes...

Stayed here for a two night break with National and can honestly say that we had no complaints. Room number 342, situated at the back of the hotel so no road noise and no noise from adjacent rooms (don't know if anyone was staying in them but believe there was as we did hear the shower). Hotel is a little...

Have stayed there a few times over the years as so handy for central Manchester. Now fed up with the experience and increased cost so will choose elsewhere. Walls incredibly thin so you can hear everything going on next door. Ludicrous queues at reception. Very small bath. Dispiriting bars and restaurants. £75 no bargain whatsoever.

Me and partner stayed here for 2 nights in February. We were given room 209, awful. The smell of smoke was unbearable, it was in the bedding, towels and left all our clothes stinking, everything had to be washed/dry cleaned. We manged to be moved for the second night to the 5th floor which was better but still not worth...

I don't enjoy criticising, but the cost of the room at this hotel far exceeded the quality received from the hotel; therefore I feel a review is required. The hotel location was okay. However, the reception staff didn't make us feel welcome; the bath was significantly dirty when we entered the room; the bed and chair were on its last...

Lovely grand hotel if a little faded, clean and fairly spacious room but have to pay for WiFi. Breakfast food is plentiful but nothing spectacular I would recommend this for a business stay or to visit Manchester. This isn't the place if you are looking for a luxury stay.
