When we arrived at the hotel, no porter to help with luggage, a porter/concierge was sweeping up outside the hotel and swept around us. We were allocated our room at reception only to find when arriving at the room the room had not been serviced and quite a mess, this was a junior suite . We returned to reception where...

A beautiful old building with lovely customer service at reception, However........... Our room was quite small. When we looked on the fire escape plan, we found that our room adjoined a huge spacious room.. We think we were in the 'childrens' add-on. The minibar and tea/coffee area were located immediately you walked in the room, in the narrowest part of...

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We were even offered more tea or coffee at breakfast! Lovely calm atmosphere in the reception area and our meal at Mr Coopers house and garden was brilliant. Would stay there again

My mother and I were not staying at the hotel but had heard great things about the spa so decided to pay £30 to use the spa facilities for a few hours. This included use of the pool, steam and sauna room and jacuzzi. Whilst at reception paying for the facilities the spa receptionist actually told off another member of...

All I can say, this has to be the most stunning hotel I have stopped in, full of character, not a new build with a building block feeling, you can imagine Hercule Poirot arriving!! But don’t be mistaken, this hotel is not like something out of the 30’s it has smart tv air con, mini bar etc. Staff was amazing,...

We attended a ball here and stayed at the hotel I loved it so special to be in such a beautifully designed hotel. The three course meal we had was amazing and I would highly recommend the hotel. Our room was so clean and the receptionist was lovely and welcoming. Thank you to all the staff.

On this recent visit to Manchester we decided to splash out a little and stay here. On arrival the check in by Kevin was speedy, efficient and friendly & our Superior room was extremely spacious & comfortable. Due to the fact that this area of Manchester is being dug up for the trams whilst checking in we requested a quiet...

The spa has an amazing sauna and pool, which makes for a very relaxing retreat. The hotel is also in a very convenient location for exploring the city. Check-in process was simple, and I was able to get to my room for early morning check-in.
