I booked the midland for my 24th anniversary .. Rather than go ultra modern like the Innside or bit further out like the Lowry .. Thought classy would do after staying in Marker in Dublin. I booked a king guest... On arrival I was told room was still dirty - their word.. We arrived at 8pm!! We were allocated another...

Went for afternoon tea with a friend as a treat on a Saturday afternoon. Hotel seemed lovely. Staff were friendly when we arrived. However you don't get any choices of sandwiches or cakes for afternoon tea. The sandwiches felt like they had been left out for a while. Unfortunately non of the sandwiches or cakes where to my taste. The...

The midland is an iconic hotel/ building on Manchester. It has been refurbished to the highest standard very sympathetically. Exterior is eye catching as architecture is just wonderful. - victorian ? All public areas retain original charm but modern day luxury as do the bedrooms. Bedrooms are a good size and are furnished well. Beds large and very comfortable. Bathrooms...

I spent a night at The Midland to attend a conference a few weeks ago. All in all, a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station, or 5 minutes by cab. The rooms were comfortable and not too warm (a nice contrast to many British hotels who seem to think rooms need to...

We stayed here to celebrate my 50th birthday in this Beautiful historic hotel, great staff and nice surroundings, the only fly in the ointment was the fire alarms sounded at 1am, 1:05, 1:08, as false alarms. I couldn't sleep after this as I kept expecting it to go off again. Shame, but other than that it was great.

We only waited a few minutes before we were served. All the staff were young but all were friendly and exceptionally polite. We were delighted with the offerings and...
