We stayed here for one night on 30 April. £90 for a room for three of us. Very shabby. Lumpy beds and pillows. Threadbare carpet. Curtains Not even hung properly as per photo Stale smell. Sliding Door to ensuite impossible to close easily. Give it a miss!

Went in here for a bag of KP nuts and a pint, it was smashing. Where else can you find Christmas decorations up in March ? They show the footie, there's interesting stuff in the ladies and one of the cubicles is permanently locked, I am told that's the staff room. Go, it's got beer and plenty of character.

1/5. Unclean, bad condition. The shower is so little. The was so bad that we moved directly away to another hotel. What more should I say about this horrible place? Smell horrible in our room, the walls wasn't whole.

From the second we got there we knew that we landed in paradise. Me and my friends went out to the town for a good few drinks and on return to the hotel we knew we had made the right decision when booking our hotel. I was so drunk that I couldn't even find the room key in my pocket...

Absolutely disgusting. Filthy dirty. I don't mind old fashioned furniture or even carpets, but there is a limit.... carpets dirty and threadbare, windows ill-fitting and badly rotting, room smelled of cigarette smoke, hasn't been decorated for years & years, paper peeling off the walls and damp patches in bathroom, lino in bathroom absolutely filthy, so much so, you stuck to...

Arrived there on midnight. The taxi driver laughed. My whole body wanted to leave but I was so tiered, so I stayed. Bad idea. Huge bad rainwater damage, owner wanted to dry with the gas fireplace running all night. So I did not get much sleep as I was afraid that the place will burn down. Got up and everything...

I have to say that this hotel exceeded expectations. The reviews on here are so horrible it definitely doesn't deserve them. It is a standard 'above a pub' hotel. Yes the carpet on the stairs is worn but for the price I think it is a bit picky to care too much. The manager was lovely. Helpful without being over...

When i first arrived at the Hotel i was in total disbelief, stunned and speechless is an understatement,..the maid(surprised it has one) was very vacant,i wonder if she was just a figment of my imagination,i felt an haunted presence from this lady, who simply ignored me when i have her a friendly hello, the place is very damp, not suitable for human inhabitants, very depressive...

Convenient for the Coronation Street tour which is the ONLY good thing I can say about this hovel. An incredible fire risk, narrow uneven and well worn stairs, Broken and ill fitting light fittings, rotten windows that don't stay open (we had to wedge ours open with a towel - which we were given which was awful) The bedding is...

Awful place! Stinking, unsafe, dirty room! Only had to stay one night thankfully. Avoid if possible. I'm not fussy with where I stay but this was the worst! Door hanging with tape, pulled up the sheet on the bed to see stains from the night before. Towels dirty! Sockets were dangerously hanging off the wall. My friend who booked this...
