The state of the external building was horrible, broken windows and looked like they had a fire. We thought it can't be that bad inside, but no.. The carpet was soggy, doors with fist holes, electrical hazards and not to mention the moldy chips. Tried to escape without paying, was actually thinking of jumping out the window but remembering we...

Please avoid this hotel at all costs. OK, its cheap, so my expectations were not great, but I did expect it to be clean and serviceable. On arrival we were given room 1 on the first floor. The staircase was actually dangerous, being very narrow with threadbare carpet which was slippery. The "fire door" opened towards you, over the top...

This Wetherspoons, like many, is not the most attractive outside it looks like one of those old smokey, rowdy pubs of days gone bye. Forget it, inside typical layout, a bit worn but perfectly acceptable Staff are great, menu is typical for this chain, and food was piping hot and well cooked. Can't fault it for a reasonably priced meal...

We called in for a drink whilst visiting the area. From a distance the Commercial looks a pleasant Victorian pub with attractive planters and seating outside. However on closer inspection it becomes apparent that it is decidedly shabby, and some of the upstairs window frames look as though they are ready to fall out. That is just the outside, which...

Where to start. I read other reviews and decided it could not be as bad as described. It was! To be fair to the guy running the place he was really helpful. I am not quite sure however, how a hotel in the run down state this one was in can keep taking in customers. The whole fabric of the...

I was disgusted with our room well to be honest with the hotel itself. The place is a real mess, i feel we have been truly ripped off!! We paid £90 for one night at this hotel and i was even scared to sleep in the beds that hadn't been changed from the night before, they had been sprayed with...

I was working in Manchester for a few days and booked this for 2 nights. I really should have checked the reviews on here and soon learned a lesson. From the moment I walked in I realised I had made a big mistake. The room was disgusting and hadn't been cleaned in goodness knows how long, if ever? The stench...

Well, where to begin....we were greeted by a roaring fire (the temperature in the bar was about the same as the surface of the sun) and Christmas decorations still up, which was an unexpected festive treat in June. There is no way to be tactful about this place, it really is an absolute dump. Trust me, I have stayed in...

I texted my partner when I arrived to say it was literally the worst place I've ever paid to stay - and it has some competition. I arrived to have the owner - who, to give his due, was a nice chap and helpful - to say 'park in front of that red car, don't worry about the parking ticket,...
