Lovely 19th Century Inn with some comfortable and roomy lodge rooms behind.Stayed on business but would have been happy there for social needs. Very welcoming staff with a nice atmospheric bar and nice restaurant. I had an evening meal here which was excellent. Had to leave before breakfast though. Would recommend this hotel.

Ideally I would give this 3.5 stars but of course unable. We came mainly due to the great reports re coeliac friendly food prepared by the chef, so it was a nasty shock to,find the kitchens firmly closed due to his illness. However this wasn't Ian any way their fault so we had to get on with it, right down...

Needed a place to stay for the night and this place was just the ticket. Really welcoming, good food and pleasant rooms. Picture postcard village red brick cottages and the pub looks out over the village church. Large parking area. Dog friendly. Our stay was very pleasurable and we thought faultless. Thanks very much to all the team at The...

The rooms are apart from the main building and ours was spotless-it had everything you needed. The pub is very warm and welcoming and Andy looked after us from start to finish. We had a welcome lunch which was...

We visited a very busy pub last night hoping to get a table. The bar staff managed to squeeze us in and all were helpful and pleasant. The food was extremely good as usual with big portion sizes. Watch out for the onion rings, they are amazing but may leave you feeling defeated when you can't finish them. I think...

We went for a stroll along the river and popped into the Angel Inn for some lunch. The pub was nicely decorated and the bar staff were welcoming and friendly. We brought our dog in too which is great as he comes everywhere with us. The food was excellent and home cooked, not pre-packaged and the price was good too!...
