We visited for a meal with friends as we had visited this place in its previous guise as Penny Street Bridge. Despite it being 8.30pm on a Saturday night there were few people in there. The place is clean and staff friendly. My husband had the hanging kebab which he said was really good. I had the sea bass which...

Room 19 2nd floor facing the very busy main road . The room had a damp musky smell The shower was good but thr plug was push button you cannot help stubbing your toe on this. The bathroom is very small with the toilet rolls positioned to far away . The bedroom. The dimmer switch on the lights was temperamental....

A beautifully presented bar and seating area with ample room for large groups like us on this occasion, or smaller more intimate diner groupings. Our table had been reserved and so we were able to seat ourselves with drinks before the booked time however within minutes of sitting the first lot of our prebooked food arrived. Everyone seemed to predominately...

Friendly staff and an excellent breakfast in this interesting city centre hotel. Not the biggest rooms but clean & comfortable. Thought the fresh milk was a nice touch. Anti-mist bathroom mirror always a bonus for wet shavers.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Overall very good but the only issues I'd raise were that the lift was broken when I was here. This wasn't' a particular issue for me as I was on the first floor but might have been for some people carrying heavy luggage up the stairs. The other thing was the stairs were covered...

Love this hotel, the bedrooms are well appointed with nice little touches like a flask of fresh milk for the room. Very friendly staff, great breakfast and a very relaxed atmosphere. Lovely garden terraced area outside for drinks in good weather. Highly recommend for business or leisure trips.

We just stopped for one night on the way North and it was absolutely fine - good location close to the centre, parking available at £5 per night which was fine, and a decent room. No complaints then and the breakfast was excellent.
