What a disgusting place this is. Arrived to be welcomed by a stuck up bitter faces lemon on reception. Very snooty and clearly feels she was better than us as paying guests. Went to the room Which was very dated. But was ok I guess. The place to eat ….. well upon entering there were 4 fly catchers on the floor (these should actually be head height). Then sat down to see soooooo many flies flying around and dead ones on windowsills. Ordered food and guess what …… a dead fly accompanied my lamb dinner. This put me off so I didn’t eat anything. When the waitress came over I told her and she said oh dear and took the plate away and I wasn’t even offered anything else so no food. After we complained and was again looked down on by little miss high and mighty on reception. This place is the pits. Dirty, run down and they have no customer service skills at all.

Attended a wedding here and the staff and owners were amazingly helpful and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a fabulous day even sewing on lost buttons and wardrobe malfunctions, the food was amazing and I'm sure we will never eat lamb as good as that until our return, the grounds are so picturesque and the views fabulous,I would highly recommend the Ferrari's as they helped to make the event such a perfect day

Arriving at the Country House Hotel, we were expecting a lovely stay given the outside look of the hotel and the pictures posted online which paint a picture of luxury. However ! When entering the hotel, this was not the case. The first thing I noted was a jar of fluid containing hundreds of Dead Flies !! & the small entrance hall ceiling was covered in flies ! We proceeded to find reception ......This being a Dark Hatch into a large cupboard !!! you have to peer inside to get any attention ........I would not state ' To Be Welcomed ' as we were not ! The man who Acknowledged us was indifferent upon our arrival and made little to no attempt to be welcoming and friendly ,no greeting to 'have a Nice stay ' or to offer a table for evening meal ! choosing to sit away in a back-room / cupboard style office . This was an attitude that continued throughout our one-night stay. The room we were given, was like a residential care home and did not match any picture of any room online. We were placed in a small inter-connecting room, with two small beds measuring 80cm in width and little other space otherwise. When numerous issues began to arise with the room including, a broken sink plug, a missing lock on the bathroom door and while having a shower , the shower temperature stuck on boiling hot water ! the shower room filled with hot steam and the control would not move to a lower temperature ! I left the room and found a staff member who said she would get some help for us , the same male staff member who checked us in upon arrival , arrived to the room and stated to just turn the control to reduce the temperature , like we had not already tried this !!! , he attempted to turn the control and it came off in his hand ! . He said we could move to two single rooms ! which we did not wish to do . He eventually opened the interconnecting door to allow us to shower in here , this is when we became aware we had been dumped in this small children's room ! He became increasingly irritated with our complaints and made no attempt to apologise for the state of our stay. By the end of the night when it came time to sleep, the aforementioned 80cm beds allowed for next to no sleep at all. This coupled with various outside lights shining through the small window and loud noises from trucks arriving early in the morning meant that we were exhausted the next day. It’s a shame that our stay turned out the way it did because the outside of the hotel, including the gardens are absolutely lovely. But the attitude of this staff member coupled with the inside of the hotel was a huge disappointment. The general decor of the hotel was tired and in need of updating, besides the room used for breakfast which was the only pleasant part of the stay. Never again ....would not recommend as a venue .

Booked deluxe room £140 bed only. Room had no loo seat lid (did mention it, but was told as it was a disabled room they don’t have loo seat lids!!). Urrgh!! Two teabags, some coffee and one biscuit on the tea try. Large room, but Tiny tv. The BED was COMFORTABLE. No hot water at 7.30 am despite running bath taps for 5 minutes, so a quick wash in cold water - lovely. Not a very deluxe room and well over priced. Dinnner was good but dining room decor depressing, although the fresh flowers were a nice touch. Lovely waiting staff.

So good last year we decided to return to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Again we were not at all disappointed with any aspect of out stay. Our large room was excellent as was all the food. Very friendly staff and fabulous gardens.

Stayed for 1 night to meet fellow retired colleagues and thoroughly enjoyed the uptime there. Beautiful gardens, quiet setting away from the main road and, as others had found, a really warm welcome from the family members on arrival. The evening meal was very good quality and excellent value at £19.50 for 3 courses before retiring to the bar for a catch up with friends. Not sure about other rooms but if I had 1 gripe the Virginia room was small with a tiny TV set and not too much space in the shower, but not a real issue for 1 night and would certainly stay at this hotel again if in the area.

This is an individual hotel which offers a lovely welcoming friendly atmosphere, positioned off the road and surrounded by the most amazing gardens. The staff are attentive, engaging and compassionate about their hotel and have a lively sense of humour that makes you feel both welcome and comfortable immediately. The food is good. Very generous portions, and the full English breakfast is superb. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. It is a great place to explore the area and I would thoroughly recommend the Ferraris Country Hotel if you are looking for a relaxing, personal experience

Absolutely stunning building and grounds. Stayed for two nights and breakfast was fabulous both mornings 🤤 . Dinner on the evening was really nice and had a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were super friendly. The bed was comfy and the jacuzzi bath was an amazing extra. Would definitely return.

Spent a day at Ferrari's for a wedding. Beautiful building, gorgeous grounds for wedding photos. Everything went smoothly all day. Staff were superb, The lady host was great, very interactive and fun, keeping everyone informed. Food was excellent. I had lamb main course and the meat fell off the bone. My wife had fish which was also very good. Later on, after the room was cleared, the DJ started with lots of good tunes, also bacon/sausage rolls came out later. The wedding photographer was excellent too, around all day getting what I'm sure will be great pics, looking forward to seeing them. Fortunately there was a timely break in the afternoon weather to do outside photos in the stunning grounds. Strangely enough, the following day,we saw a chap working in the gardens, he was the photographer at our wedding 31 years ago!! It was good to see him. Highly recommend this as a venue, a great day.
