The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and presentable. There was a Starbucks and gym facilities on the ground floor. However this might not be the most comvininet to stay if you are not driving.

The only disappointing thing was that I left an expensive electronic toothbrush in my room and when I phoned to see if I could come and collect it, it had not been handed in. That was the only fly in the ointment on an otherwise good stay - nice hotel and good value

From the great welcome by the team to the easy self checkin system, my bedroom was modern and clean and had everything I wanted and you get Sky in the room which is a bonus for me as the football was on! Very modern, first class hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The gym and pool were the best I have been too and the rooms are very modern. Breakfast was excellent and the new check in and out system does lack the personal touch but is efficient.

Happy with the overall service and quality ... we will certainly be using the village hotels again. Great value from r money. The Mrs could not find a fault in the room as its the first process she habitually go through when first arriving in a hotel room! Quiet impress actually given the low rate we paid!:)

We tried for differing reasons to calm reception, but not a single call was answered. We waited over ten mins to check out, as none was at main desk. When we eventually fed this back, the receptionist was uninterested and have no reasoning to why.

The hotel has a lot of free parking which was handy so meant we got a space straight away. They have an automatic check-in facility meaning you do everything through 1 machine yourself. They have someone to help you if you need but was very quick and easy. I spent Saturday using the Gym, Swimming Pool, Sauna and Steam Room....

I stayed here with my husband and child for 2 nights. Upon checking, we went back to reception to ask if we had been put in the wrong room as we had booked a family room but the room we had was small and my child had a mattress on the floor by the window, but apparently this was a...

Andrew R, Manager at Village Hotel Solihull, responded to this review

Dear Rebecca M Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear you were unsatisfied with your room. The mattress you describe was in fact a ‘truckle bed’ which is a slide out addition to a king bed, giving us the flexibility to tailor the bedroom to meet the individual needs of each guest. They are tested and suitable...

I like the general style of this hotel, but the room allocated was looking a bit tired and we'd been allocated half of an interconnecting room which was odd. We could hear thumping music from the gym when they had classes on. This included 9am on Saturday morning! Woken by a noisy neighbour at 5am and with no clear way...
