Called in on a Sunday night expecting it to be quiet with just a few locals. They obviously know better ! Great atmosphere with chatty conversation and flowing ales. Food was solidly good and hearty ( maybe because we could hear the chef being motivated by his AC DC playlist ) Food great. Good value. Will come again

Deep fried sausages and mushrooms on the breakfast. No hash browns as listed until they were asked for again. Toast, just indescribable. Give it a miss, so many other lovely places to eat in this pretty market town

Popped in for a couple of drinks My partner had a good Sauvignon blanc and I my pint of Jennings was the best I had tried outside of the Lake District. Very friendly and chatty staff . Pub was very busy with early evening trade.

My dear friend and I met for lunch in Stony Stratford and what a lovely traditional town. No high street shops only local shops and market stalls. The town back-dates to Richard III (or early) and most of the traditional taverns are still present when this was a popular posting town during the 16th/17th/18th centuries. The George is one such...

I was meeting with an old buddy from ages back when we both lived in Stony Stratford, so booked a twin room at the Old George for the night. Check in was simple and the room was ready even though we were a little early. Although the room was very small, no room between the twin beds at all, it...

My partner and I visited here at the beginning of September the room was clean. Due to the building being very old it was very creaky when walking around but didn't really bother us. There was a band on our last night in the pub downstairs although this did not go on late we were worried about the noise. However...

Friendly staff. Room was clean. I had a room overlooking the courtyard, the pub was busy at least it was a summer evening so was loud until about 9:30pm. I was kept awake a little by other residents doors slamming and floors creaking (I suppose to be expected from a building of this age). The rooms are reasonably priced. Very...

Yet another great night at the George. The crush were fabulous as usual. Had the whole pub singing and dancing. Great evening always a good atmosphere albeit cosy. Great night celebrating a birthday with friends. Have seen the band quite a few times and they always deliver a great performance. Look forward to seeing more great bands at the George.

Enjoyed my stay there. Had the attic room which was small but quaint. Conversely the bathroom was bigger and had bath in which was nice. Could have done with a shower attachment though. This is a popular pub with outside seating so prepare for a little noise. Breakfast was lovely and I also had an evening meal which was good....

I have visited on numerous occasions either socially or on business. Always a hearty welcome with a great selection of real ales, ciders and lagers, accompanied by good home cooked food. I'll keep returning....
