What a shame that a family lunch to celebrate my dads birthday was over three hours because of the dreadful service. The food itself was fine, but despite being far from full, the staff couldn't cope at all. 1/2 hour wait for a starter and over an hour for the main. No one cleared the tables and when I did...

Came here for Sunday lunch with the family and a friend who was visiting from Spain. What a fabulous find. Excellent staff, very courteous and very polite. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was excellent and piled high and tasted very fresh. Chicken, gravy, mash and roast potatoes served with perfectly cooked vegetables and 2 massive Yorkshire puddings....

i have been visiting this Pub regularly for over 12 years . I find the place congenial , friendly and inviting. In addition to taking my family from time to time , I usually meet with colleagues and friends for important discussions as well as light hearted conversations. The atmosphere is excellent for all sorts of 'get together' - the...

Booked 1 night B & B shown to room 3. What a disappointment. Carpet not very clean.Toilet, hadn`t been cleaned properly, only a little left on the toilet roll. No spare, so what we were supposed to do heaven only knows. Shower tiles could have welcomed a good scrub with a brush and bleach. We were told on booking that...

How's that for a twist on your average B&B? Almost as a throwaway, after we were shown to our room, we were given this vital piece of information. The Brewhouse is very much a pub and it seems that it isn't staffed till 12 o'clock so they have this 'unusual' arrangement. Inside the wardrobe was a fridge with all the...

What a transformation from when the three of us visited about a year ago. This time, three traditional meals, perfectly prepared, accompanied by a couple of glasses of wine and a refreshing beer for me. Warm welcome, good price, can't wait to return.

Decided to go for an impromptu meal with an old friend on a warm Monday evening. Was very quiet when we arrived with around 8 or 9 people there. I ordered the 1/2 chicken and chips and my friend ordered the Cheese and Onion Pie with chips. Both the meals were lovely and so much that we could not eat...
