The room was tired but not tatty. The window was open when we arrived and wouldn't shut even with a struggle. Also the electricity was off in the room!! We arrived at almost midnight after a 400 mile drive so I had to ring reception to get this sorted before I could even turn a light on or have a...

We have stayed here a few times over the years. Very friendly staff with a nice clean room. The hotel itself is dated and a bit shabby in places. Could do with a lick of paint and new carpets in the corridors leading to rooms. Loads of parking space with good views from the front of the hotel.

My wife and I have just returned from a 4 day National Holiday trip to Skipton, Southport and The Lakes. During the trip we stayed in the Brittania Hotel, Bolton for three nights bed, breakfast and evening meal (room 20). The hotel is good value for the money paid, the bedroom was clean and tidy, the meals were very good...

We decided to take an overnight stay after travelling from PETERBOROUGH for the final football match @ THE MACRON STADIUM for the 2016/17 season.. I booked up the hotel a full month in advance and got a good saving.. 2 of us sharing a double room for £40.00 per person @ 1 night... A lovely breakfast was served between 07.30...

Well where do I begin? I stayed over night in this hotel with friends as we were going to a wedding nearby. When we booked online it looked nice enough but was outrageously expensive at the price of £85. However, we took this as it meaning to be a nice enough place to stay for the night. When I arrived,...

I cannot recommend that before you book this hotel you look for other hotels in the area which are so much better quality. the carpets in the corridors are literally held together with gaffa tape, seriously ... miles of it. The room was just about acceptable but I was almost at the point of walking out and asking for my...

Running a course that was situated in converted bedrooms. Tried in vain to get a cup of tea or coffee, but because it was not pre ordered they couldn't do it. The receptionist excelled herself at last and recommended the Shell garage down the road, which we trooped down to to get a cup of coffee. Absolutely bonkers, felt like...

My Son and I were in room two a twin, as part of a national Holiday package on the18th march this year. When sitting on the bed the springs made noises akin to base drums, the mattresses were worn and well beyond their best before date, however they were clean. The light next to the bed was flickering constantly, when...

This place used to be a green field Holiday Inn site but years of neglect have not been kind to the face of this property. Once inside, having negotiated tatty, crumbling steps and through the dirty glass doors, I was completely ignored by two members of the reception team who were both engrossed in checking in another guest and avoided...

Booked for family celebration, under staffed, poor service and run down facilities. Would not recommend this hotel for anybody causes more stress than it is worth. When feeding back manager very nasty and unprofessional.
