I booked a one night stay here as I was attending a wedding at the Hundred House Hotel in Norton - a 10 min drive away through narrow and winding lanes. Their bed and breakfast rate was very reasonable and they were happy for me to check in late (just after 10pm) as the pub was still open anyway. My...

Went for lunch on a saturday afternoon. Parking was difficult to find but there is an overflow available. We ordered a couple of things on the menu. We found the steak and ale pie absolutely delicious and the chicken and rib combo was tasty too. The portions were generous and the staff were friendly. The play area was good for...

The Shakespeare Inn was chosen as it was in a suitable location for an event the following day (Cosford Air Show) in addition to my liking for the more homely qualities of a country inn. The pub itself is lively, particularly in the early evening, the food is very good with some local produce. The only disappointment was the ale...

Visited with friends last night. Table pre - booked for 7.30pm and we arrived just before. Place was packed we couldn't get to the bar and no one greeted us After several minutes we were told which table was ours and then left to find it ourselves. No one came to take a drinks order so after waiting 10 minutes...

I've eaten here a few times and it's great each time. There's a great variety on the menu. Good beers and wine available. Family friendly with a park at the back and high chairs available. Staff are really helpful. If you like a really spicy meal go for the black bean and chill sizzler.

Had a brilliant last minute get away for the night, staff was friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and specious with everything you would need for a night away, food was excellent in the restaurant, huge menu with lots to pick from, with very big portions, fab value for money!

Called in as staying locally. Excellent menu with choices of Chinese, Mexican and English cuisine. Took a while to come but was well worth the wait. Food was freshly prepared, hot and really tasty. Portions were generous, but well proportioned. Not just loads of chips or veg. Would recommend for anyone, but book if you want to eat early.

First visit to pub. The meals are very large and extremely well cooked. Staff are professional and friendly. Best meal we have had in years. Do book though! We ordered gammon and chicks breast in mushroom sauce. We can highly recommend.

This pub is situated alongside the river Severn although you can't see it as it's behind trees. The decor is good, the staff are friendly and helpful and there are some good real ales to enjoy. The best part though is definitely the food. You will need a good appetite as none of us could manage a dessert. If you...
