Visited this hotel after receiving a virgin experience voucher as a Christmas present. After spending two night in the Cotswolds we thought we would use this voucher to end the trip. We could not have been more disappointed. As I have seen in other reviews, this is not a "spa". It is simply a local swimming pool with children's swimming...

We have a one night stay and stay break recently. The room itself was clean and modern and we were greeted to chocolates and wine in our room on arrival which was pleasant. The biggest downside of the break was that the 'spa' is a leisure centre for locals as well as available to the hotel guests. As many others...

As I write this review,we are on the morning of our 2nd day of a 2 night break. Pluses as follows. Check in was pleasant and efficient. The rooms are clean and modern. The gym has modern equipment. Location is fine for Gloucester and surrounding areas. The Food for the Evening meal was excellent. Minuses. I will go into more...

So so disappointed. I should've saved my money and went to the local leisure centre....... dirty, broken, dangerous. Not really a spa pamper day more like four hours with the locals. So many things had things wrong like the metal shower bracket falling off making a very loud crash to the floor with everyone watching from an already broke shower...

I stayed in a twin room which was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The room facilities were excellent. The location was a bit out of the way, however, for the purpose of our visit it was perfectly fine. I had a back, neck and shoulder massage treatment. My masseur asked what my preference was for a massage and she met...

Amazing staff and Great food. Stayed here a few times for business and would be the only hotel in Gloucester id recommend. Staff extremely polite and helpful. Rooms spacious and clean and a nice bar to boot. That's besides the gym, pool, hot tub and sauna!! Highly Recommended.

My partner and I were treated to a voucher from groupon for afternoon tea and 'spa' access for two as a Christmas present. We booked our visit with little hassle and the receptionist was fairly pleasant over the phone. When we arrived we were greeted by two receptionists who, to be fair to them, were helpful, but lacked professionalism. We...

We have just returned from a two night stay and I can honestly say it was better than expected. Having called the hotel direct for weekend offers, I booked two nights B & B with dinner on the first night for £148 - bargain! Some of the reviews I read made me a little unsure as to what to expect...

Relaxing stay loved the pool and sauna area. Though a tad pricey for what it is especially when it comes to the food, which wasn't at all to the standard I was expecting. I think I could have cooked their pasta better, but overall good enough that I keep going back, just not for food.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The boutique Hallmark Hotel has a lot within its stylish contemporary walls. An awful lot. For starters there's the 95 rooms and suites, all clean modern design with a mix of bold colours and earth tones, richly patterned carpets and good beds. Then there's our acclaimed brasserie. The rather good team of chefs alchemizes fine seasonal ingredients into a menu embracing both classic British and European dishes and Moroccan specials. Small wonder it's a favourite of locals as well as guests. Naturally, you may well wish to burn as well as devour calories. You're in the right place. As well as glass-backed squash court and excellent gym with fitness kit, we've an inviting pool (and another for children), steam room and sauna, as well as a beauty treatments facilities where highly trained therapists work wonders for the body and soul, with everything from stress busting Swedish Massages to Detoxifying Body Wraps. ... more   less
