From arrival and a warm greeting and tour from Dan, through to a great room well appointed, a fantastic breakfast served by Felicity and their son we could not have asked for more. I stayed at The Franklin by accident due to my original hotel overbooking; I was not disappointed in the least and would stay again without hesitation. Both Dan and Felicity are the nicest people I have come across; nothing is too much trouble at all and they both make you feel really looked after. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the breakfast fantastic and the location is excellent. This is somewhere I would stay again and will look to book on any future stays in Harrogate. Thank you both again, a great stay.

Stayed at The Franklin last December to Celebrate my partners Birthday and to take the opportunity to experience the Christmas Market. As the Franklin is so well located to the City Centre this allowed just a short walk and enabled us to enjoy the festivities and warm acholic beverages. The room had all the facilities that any guest would welcome. Lovely family friendly atmosphere. Daniel and Felicity offered a great selection for breakfast. Would definitely return in due course. Thankyou for a pleasant stay.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Such a lovely warm friendly welcome by our hosts Felicity and Dan. Lovely en-suite room with tea and coffee and fridge. The breakfast was amazing, sustaining us for a full day of Christmas shopping. Only a short walk into Harrogate where there were some lovely shops and a Christmas Market. Will definitely be on our stay again list.

Fabulous location short walk from town centre, really comfortable atmosphere and Felicity and Dan are very helpful. Great breakfast. Nothing bad to say all good. Parking in Harrogate can be a nightmare but the Franklin is well able to cope and assist

The location was very good, situated in a quiet leafy suberb, a short stroll from the centre of town and an even shorter stroll to the Conference Centre. The hosts were lovely, very friendly, and the full Yorkshire breakfast was fabulous. Our room was comfortable and very clean, with plenty of tea and coffee and a complimentary fresh milk in the mini fridge. In short it was everything we required for our short stay. We wouldn't hesitate to book again, in fact, we look forward to booking again.

The Franklin is a wonderful family-run hotel close to Harrogate town centre (but in a peaceful leafy street). Owners Felicity and Dan have created a beautiful and relaxing place to stay, and provide a level of service that would put many larger hotels to shame. We stayed in the 'De Luxe' suite, which was beautifully decorated, with a nod to the building's Victorian heritage (check out the pictures on the Franklin's website). Each room has a fridge with fresh milk provided, and it is possible to order a range of locally produced drinks to enjoy during your stay. The tea and coffee (Taylors of Harrogate, naturally!) were accompanied by some wonderful local flapjack and shortbread bars which were a welcome treat. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Cooked items came with Dan's own little twist and that attention to detail which makes all the difference (mushrooms cooked in butter rather than oil- yum!). We particularly liked the locally made sausages, too. Felicity and Dan run The Franklin with cheerful efficiency and were friendly and welcoming thoughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and we felt most welcome. They provide residents' parking permits so that guests can park on-street for free. What a little gem of a guest house. Felicity and Dan were totally committed to making our stay perfect. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished and the bed super comfy. The Yorkshire full English was exceptionally generous in portion size and flavour. Taking this into account and the free parking (with permit provided) it was a bargain stay. Why stop at a Travel lodge or a Premiere Inn when you can get this level of service? We will look forward to returning as soon as possible.

We just had a 2 night stay at The Franklin. We won't be staying anywhere else on future trips to Harrogate. Dan and Felicity are the perfect hosts, so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are really cosy, the beds and pillow super comfy. Breakfast is delicious and there is a great choice. Another huge positive for us is that everything possible is locally sourced. Tea and coffee from Taylors of Harrogate. Most breakfast items all local. In room toiletries all made in Harrogate as are the delicious flapjacks and millionaires shortbread you are treated to each day. Its location is perfect...2 mins walk from the convention centre and just a further fed minutes to the centre of town. Parking is on the street but loads of room so was not an issue. It's a really great place to stay.
