The Welford is a small family owned and run guest house in the heart of Harrogate. Our rooms are not enormous but have all been recently re-furbished to a high standard and cleanliness and guests comfort is paramount to us. We pride ourselves on our breakfasts and all our products are locally sourced, our sausages are homemade, our bacon is dry cured and our eggs are free-range from a small local farm. All rooms have hospitality trays, flat screen TVs, Hair-dryers, complimentary toiletries and Towels. We have free Wi-Fi, free parking permits for guests, and we are also pet friendly. 5 Minutes walk from rail and bus station and a 2 minutes walk from the Harrogate International Conference Centre. Judy & Richard take great pride in offering a home from home atmosphere. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

Friendly welcome from hosts Richard and Judy (no not that pair!) nothing too much trouble, very informative for new comers to Harrogate. Place was immaculate, tastefully decorated. Breakfasts excellent home produce. Bedroom/bathroom clean and spotless. Close to all Harrogate has to offer, definitely coming back.

A very warm welcome from start to finish. Judy & Richard are mine hosts, and hospitality is their forte. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable, and breakfast is a delight from fresh fruit, cereal to a full breakfast. Thank you again, and we will definitely return.

Lovely b&b in a perfect location. Rooms are very comfortable and cosy, lovely bed and the decor is homely. The cooked breakfast is top notch, Richard & Judy make you feel very welcome and are just lovely people. We stayed here while visiting family in Harrogate and this will be our go to for any future trips. Thank you for looking after us so well 😊😊

Stayed here for two nights last week and really enjoyed our stay. The room was immaculately clean with all the tea and coffee facilities you could need. The Welford is in a great location just a short walk from the town centre. Richard and Judy were great hosts and could not have been more helpful. Breakfasts here are brilliant. We thoroughly recommend the Welford and would stay here again.

Five star service from Richard and Judy! 🌟 Would highly recommend staying here! Lovely, spotlessly clean room, great local knowledge and terrific food… even Richard’s homemade sausages. Delicious! Handy for all amenities too. We will be back! 🤩

We stayed here for 3 nights in a twin room on the 2nd floor. From start to finish the owners Judy and Richard were warm, welcoming and helpful. The rooms are very clean with comfy beds, fluffy towels, hot shower and most important a plug socket under a mirror. Breakfast lives up to its reviews with great homemade sausages, bacon and all round good choice of quality ingredients. It was nice to be given a large cafetiere of coffee on the table so you don't have to keep asking. Location is excellent, rooms are quiet and free parking is a bonus. We would certainly stay here again

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at Judy and Richards house. Such lovely down to earth hosts with a lovely, spotless establishment. Beautiful location, and just 5 minutes walk from bars, shops, and restaurants, and trains, with free parking too (that's definitely a bonus in any large town). The breakfast choices are endless, and the rooms are spot on. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend. Carol and Andy :-)

Thank you to Richard and Judy for a wonderful stay, they are excellent hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was very comfortable and spotless as was the en-suite. There was a great choice for breakfast and everything was of a very high standard and delicious. Also parking wasn’t a problem as we were given a parking permit for the duration of our stay. We can highly recommend The Welford.
