My wife & I booked the St. George for a family weekend to celebrate our anniversary as it was a central location as our family extends from the Midlands to North of England. From our arrival all the staff were extremely helpful & friendly. The central situation is within easy reach of the main areas of Harrogate. For the anniversary...

We stayed here for a three night stay whilst on a coach trip. The hotel is very old and in need of a bit of TLC in some areas but overall it was clean and comfortable. Our room on the first floor was clean and comfortable with a bathroom of a decent size. The only downside was there were too...

I am writing this review for my mum who stayed at the St George for 4 nights in February. She thoroughly enjoyed her stay and found that the hotel was very clean, the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious with good choices. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff including room service, and the...

Just returned from a four night break. Loved this hotel, old, elegant and full of character. Very close to the centre and to the Valley Gardens. The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. We had a room on the first floor with a lovely view of the town. Large and very comfortable with a...

This was our second stay at the St George. We took a Premier Room as we thought we might be incarcerated in our bedroom in the evenings. The room was fine but not sure it was worth the extra money. Probably better to explore the night scene in Harrogate instead. The décor throughout the hotel is generally OK - trendy...

My husband and I and another couple stayed here on a Shearings 5 day break from 13/02/2019. It's a very nice hotel, and the bedrooms were large and nicely decorated, very clean too, but the public rooms were very cold and the heating inadequate. The food wasn't very nice either and it was lukewarm, the 'Cumberland Sausage' on the first...

Stayed 3 nights on Shearings holiday. Hotel was very clean and our room was spotless and looked as if the bathroom had recently been refurbished. Excellent shower.
